08 Dynasty team

Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

I was going to ask you about that, knowing your original plans. Since the Celtics are bit thin in the middle, perhaps Sean Williams will be a feasible option as your token rookie?

to be honest i dont know yet, it will depend alot on thier in game stats as i never edit any of the stats of any player and honestly, who can i get. i considered making glen davis my project but i dont think so, i will keep him around however for awhile and see how he pans out, but he wont get the time i give to the other rookie.

i am also thinking about playing season 1 as is(except for that one trade), meaning no free agent signings or anything. infact i am 99% sure thats what i will do. should be fun

now i guess all there is to do is sit and wait for you to give up the goods on dynasty

I've done that before, it's challenging at times because you've got to fight the urge to make changes and work with what you've got but at the same time it can be a lot of fun because of that challenge.

I was hoping I could talk about Dynasty Mode by now too but as yet I haven't received the green light.

to date, i have never played a full first season without changes, i guess if i do make the trade for my rookie this year wont be different, however it will be the first year i only made 1 trade lol. usually i gut the entire team and only keep 2-4 of the originals

These days I usually keep the core players but tinker with the last three or four bench spots. My NBA Live 2004 Dynasty was the last time I made major changes involving the starting lineup, when I traded Jalen Rose, Marcus Fizer and Roger Mason Jr for Kevin Garnett.

True, though there's no way that deal would ever happen in real life.

Sauru, I think you should trade for Jared Dudley....now that the Celtics have lost Ryan Gomes, they are in need of a young, smart, glue guy forward off the bench....he's wasted with the 'Cats, snap him up quick

I'm going to be the Lakers and I will try to build a real team around Kobe.

I'm happy that Garnett is on the Celtics. I can't wait to GM with the trio Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen i forgot about Dolante West being traded to Seattle. i am starting Rondo or i may trade him to a crappy team to try and get a high first round pick so i could get an awesome center or point guard or even a backup bench player. I won't be the celtics when i play my friends though because this one guy always picks the celtics. I will probably go with Portland when playing against my friends and i will try to trade to get Durant there so i can have Oden/Aldridge/Durant/Roy and jack if i can't get Durant i'll just create a sf when i play against my friends.

as of now i will be starting house and perkins with the 3 and running a bare bones bench. in every other game i always run a 10 man rotation but this time i am thinking about an 8 man, unless we happen to sign another player or 2 prior to the start of the season.

another thought i had was to start kg at center and bring in davis at the 4 but since he still is unsigned i dont know if he will be in the game, if not then that option is dead right away.

I usually start with teams with players I like who haven't won a championship. (Denver-Melo, AI Rockets-T-Mac etc...)
