Thanks. It feels realy wierd to play for a bit and just have no pain. I put alot of work into my vertical jump before I had the injuries, so it sucks that most of that disappeared. However, the other day I went outside, warmed up and did some of that dynamic stretching stuff and after about 10 minutes of playing I was dunking on my hoop outside. The hoop is bent so it's about 9'6", but I couldn't do that before the injury (then again I've grown to about 5'8" since then - I hope I keep going =| ). I wonder if I can regain all the work I put into my legs quicker than I thought.
About the meniscus, I remember reading about that before going to physio. That's torn cartilage right?
I'm just happy I didn't do anything to serious. The whole reason this has lasted so long is because I just thought I could rest it for 6 weeks, come back and it would be fine. I kept doing that, but each time coming back I would push to hard and hurt it even more so. Luckily I finally talked my mum into taking me to physio.
Damn I can't wait to get playing again.

Yeah, the knee's cartilage. I didn't have meniscectomy, though. It wasn't that bad. In fact I remember it didn't even hurt that much when my legs weren't in use.

Nice work on recovering Shannon, I just hope with you recovering and able to play ball now means that there will still be updates on your dynasty.
Go dunk on some fools, Azubuike style.

They're called Nike Air Prestige. Wore them out today and played a little pick upball at the park in them, they're real comfortable. At first I wasn't gonna get them because I didn;t really like the Navy Blue, but they look alot better in real life and I think they're probably the best casual shoes I've had yet.
Heres the Eastbay page.

Yeah as I said just there ^ I played ball today for about an hour. I wasn't supposed to, but I wasn't sprinting or jumping full force or anything, just casual pickup ball with some guys at the park. The best thing about it was at no point did I have any knee pain. Even afterwards, when my knees usually need icing and they became sorta swollen, no pain at all. The only pain I had during the whole day was about 10 minutes after playing and my hamstrings tightened up. I guess that's to be expected when I didn't stretch and I hadn't played in a long time.
I'll find time to keep it updated, ASW just bored the hell outta me. Now that I'm back in the season it should be alot more interesting.
Even if I could dunk, it still wouldn't be able to Azu style. I don't have the cool name to go along with the athleticism. Or the athleticism it self, actually.

4 weeks into my new job and I am getting a promotion to be the receiver. Also, the family is getting a new fiber optic internet and digital cable deal and they are installing it all tomorrow.

Sexual Innuendo
Possibly pushing the bottom margins out to a more acceptable level for the industry in relation to the competition.
Best I got off the top of my head

I was stocking shelves.

Speaking of receiving, I've found a wireless receiver for our thesis group's (yes the one's you saw from the other thread) project. Finally we made progress, though out of the four members, it's only me and the other guy who seems interested in finishing this.

Because you're the nerds of the group. Thank god for dependable nerds.

Lucky, how'd you get $600+ worth of oil paint for free? What course are you taking in painting?
Thu Aug 30, 2007 8:18 pm
dude, in the fall, I'm taking intermediate painting (which i suck at), intermediate digital arts, and advanced drawing and possibly an art issues course (for requirements). I'm gonna die.

Advanced Painting.
About the paint, I actually ran into a friend of mine at the supply store and he gave them to me (he was gonna donate it to the school). He has mountains of mountains of paint just sitting at his studio but as he discovers a newer, better brand I suppose he discards his previous brand of choice. The brand I got from his is really really good quality (way better than anything I could ever afford, also much larger tubes) so there's no real complaint on my end.

NBA Audio League Pass is free for this entire NBA season! So instead of paying 20 dollars to listen to radio play by play I can just log in and listen for free. Only the NBA and NHL do this , everyone else decided to charge fans for play by play (MLB , NFL , etc) . So , to celebrate , I am listening to some meaningless preseason game between Dallas and San Antonio.

anyways, my roommate (that i'm sharing a room with) is leaving on training for his job on Friday. this could possibly open up some free time for "extra-ciricullar" activities
i hope it's for a week.

You have too much free time to play with yourself.
Don't smear the paint and turpentine all over your body, definitely not on "little Qballer".

haha thanks for the concern, but i was talking about someone else:

Good news is that I secured 3 tickets to Big Day Out Gold Coast for my mate in NZ, my older brother & myself....I had to keep refreshing page after they went on sale at 12.01am this morning....I eventually got my order through at 12.23am this morning....
Bad news for everyone else, it sold out in 13 minutes after going on sale at Ticketek at 9.00am this morning....That's the quickest sell out for the Gold Coast I believe....not as quick as Sydney, they sold out in 5 minutes!!!
anyways, will be great to see Rage Against The Machine live
for all you other Aussies, the tickets go on sale for your events at 12.01am tomorrow morning....go to bigdayout.com & be prepared to refresh....
