Dead Rising

I was just wondering if anyone has got this game on the 360 and if its worth buying. If you dont know what its about then its a zombie based game made by Capcom, its similar to Dawn of the Dead the movie as in the humans seek refuge in a shopping centre. The main character is a journalist trying to capture a good story about these zombies until hes left to fight for survival....

One good scene is when this black guy walks into a dark room and flashes his torch around to reveal about 100 zombies and hes says "Well....Shit" lol then all you hear is him being ripped apart.

I bought it a while back & returned it a week later. The save points were highly annoying (imagine killing hundreds of zombies over 45 minutes, with limited health, & not be able to find a save point & have to go back & start again....too frustrating for me....a bit of a killer for me....but yeah, if you can get past that, it's a pretty good game....

Well, this topic is over a year old, but if I made a new one, I would get flamed for not using an existing one so...

This game is awesome. I hated it at first, but once you level your guy up into the 20's (I recommend your first run-through not playing the game, and just taking pictures, rescuing people and killing zombies to level up.

The difficult save system and time limit is bothersome, but it grows on you, and with nearly every situation, its fun and very possible to escape. I managed to escape the parking garage with no weapons and one health box once.

There are quite a few flaws, but it is good fun. Next to Gears of War and NBA 2K7, it is my favorite 360 game. It is also the reason why my 2K7 Association hasn't been updated in 2 weeks. :(

I overall like the game. It's very well done except for the placements of save games. They are very far apart and it can be very tiresome redoing 30-45 minutes of a game just because you died toward the end.

I hated that guy so much. He laughed at the picture I gave him for his challenge, then disappeared. I died without saving afterwards, so instead I smashed his head in with the sledgehammer as soon as I saw him. :) I tend to either kill or neglect the people I'm supposed to save though anyway. You receive half the points for just getting them to join anyway.

My only save system beef is that it is based off time, and if you save without enough time to advance, there is only one save file so you have to restart from the beginning, albeit with higher stats but still.

I only have played the demo, it was okay, but nothing i wanted to get bad. I can relate to long ass gameplay though. The final Boss in Bulletwitch has to take at least 30 minutes. So if you die after 28 minutes of battling the beast, you end up pissed the hell off.

Well, I recommend just messing around, having fun, exploring and improving your character. You have to to just let Frank die. Eventually, once you are sick of exploring and dying, you will know the mall and its save points.

The game is much deeper than the demo. I would recommend a RENTAL to every 360 owner. It is truly a next-gen game, but don't rush to buy it as it may not be your cup of tea. (Isn't there an emoticon for that?)

For it to have been truly next gen, it would've loaded seemlessly. Even though the load times are short, they are still annoying as well.

Yeah; that is pretty lame, but I don't mind it too much. It isn't as bad as the pre-RE4 Resident Evil games were.

Right now I'm officially frustrated with the game. I'm on the mission in which you got to collect Carlito's time bombs in the maintenance tunnel, but my car always blows up before I get to the exit.
