NBA Live 08 PC version DELAYED! (New Date: 10/30/2007)

Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

NBA Live 08 PC version DELAYED! (New Date: 10/30/2007)

Postby Andrew Lee on Thu Aug 09, 2007 3:07 am

EDIT:

I just checked out Amazon, EB, and Walmart websites, these 3 sites state that PC version of Live 08 will be released on October 30th.

All other consoles' release dates remain the same (October 2nd).

Is this a good news for pc Live fans or just another bad news? Any ideas?

Its annoying of course to have to wait longer, but perhaps this means they are trying to iron some things out so that when the game releases it will be better?

They're actually removing content. Don't want to make it too good, as our expectations would rise accordingly, lol.

This isn't really news, this has been known for some time now.

I'm going to be pessmistic and assume that the three weeks inbetween (gold dates, I know they won't actually be working on it between Oct 2nd and 30th) will be when they port over the PS2 version, having done nothing on PC version until this point.

well, it's good to see they're atleast going to use 28 days to update the current gen :-p (I doubt they even touched the current gen yet :-p, they'll update the rosters and logos within 28 days if i assume correctly.

I'm glad I moved to the ps3 ;) NBA 2k7 is a pretty good game with flaws (instant replays shouldn't even be included in the game because then you have to look at the hideous player faces), I can't wait for live 08 though, it looks good.

Probably neither. I'd say it just means we'll have to wait a bit longer for it.

Nothing special. All we're getting is a roster update.

And new logos for the Hawks (jerseys, courts, accessory colors).

I really hope they fix up the flaws, EA should know that there are lots of NBA Live PC gamers too (you can correct me on this).

We don't know for sure yet since no info has been released but it's a possibility.

Is there already a update of the PC version?

EA's always been good with the jerseys, courts, and logos. They aren't exactly 2k on that aspect. at least EA gets that part right if they can't get any of the others.

Wasnt someone from EA talking about how the NBA themselves provide the release date? So Im just curious how this happened.
Opinions are my own.

The NBA dictates the release dates, yes.

I'm going to be unusualy pessamistic and assume that this has more to do with EA needing the DVD duplicators for the 360 version. The truth is probably a combination of this and what benji said.

it's like when the Playstation 1 came out with the series, they left the other consoles alone pretty much. Same thing with PC and current gen consoles. They wont change much, just fix some flaws and add little things.

so far there has been nothing new about the PC, PS2 or xbox versions. Not even 1 video.

They may not even be a live 09 for current gen.

It wouldn't surprise me since the PS2 is sure to be phased out over the next couple of years.
