i can, the stupid dunk contest is a big selling point for idiots who dont know a damn thing about basketball. imo it is completly worthless and after trying it a few times in live i stopped useing it and wont go back. but like i said, people will stoll into eb games and see "dunk contest" and they just grab the game and go

2k's graphics look much more realistic than Live's.

I guess facial features can be debated, though 2k is still better IMO, but either way player models and jersey motion are much more noticeable and can actually be seen while playing a game. So, 2k wins there no doubt. 2k wins.

actually, the 2k slam dunk contest is a breath of fresh air to the series as 24/7 gets suckier every year.

graphics? i think 2k is better all around especially the cloth physics. live has the edge on the faces of the players though.

anyway, i hope live will at least be passable when it comes to gameplay. its good that they're building the game from the ground up.

live have better dribbling this year, better go to moves,
presentation, graphics, sweat mechanics, realistic faces,
miny games, a new and improved post game and they are not even finish

2k have the same dribbling moves, everyone can do a quick stutter step,
there signature shots are ok but tmac doesnt shoot like that, the post game suck
main menu is lame and i hate the soundtacks every year .there dunk contest is
a knock off lives (but they might do it better ). 2k dunks are slow

Not only have they not played either game, they don't even know anything about 2k8 except it's ugly and it has a dunk contest! (All we know is the graphics aren't good and it has a dunk contest), I don't know, people are stupid.

I'm going to rent both games for ps3, i'm going to play them both!, if they're both good, I'll buy the better one and buy the other one after the price is reduced in january or february b/c I'll get bored with 1 game.

Or if only one's good, I'll just buy that one only.

exclusive videos of the dunk conteset, they said the contest is about 60% complete in the vids, and it won't be in association mode, it's not part of all-star weekend from what I understand.

It looks pretty good especially with the objects, I wish live would put objects in their dunk contest (not cars because it's all-star weekend and supposed to be realistic, but maybe chairs and actual players would be cool)

I don't think it'll be better than live's this year, live's is pretty advanced with their all star weekend and dunk contest (i can't imagine 2k has more combos than live yet, b/c live's is mature now, and it's neat to be on the strip of las vegas outside, but I like the authentic ASW with all the lights and jump trons) , if live adds objects like chairs I'd love it.

It does look cool though, I want to pick up both games eventually this year, it looks pretty slick (though the ball goes through the player on the dunks :-p, but it's only 60% they say)

wow that looks tons better then nba lives version. I didnt see any unrealistic double flips in there. It was also cool how he steped over the guy after knocking him over. They could have been lazy and just had him go right through him.

EDIT: Here is another video, its pretty much the same thing but shorter, but i think there were 2 new dunks shown in this.
