Chris Paul or Gilbert Arenas?

Postby Ruthless Outlaw on Fri Jul 20, 2007 10:40 am

Chris Paul is officially on the cover of NBA 2K8. Who do you think got the better athlete for their cover, Live or 2K?

I'll take Gilbert Arenas any day over Chris Paul.

Arenas is gamer. I don't know how much of a gamer CP3 is, but Arenas is a gamer, and he's one of the best guys you can get as a cover athlete. He'll be in there playing the game and telling you stuff, and personality wise, he's a great character, though CP is a good guy too.

I'm for Gil, funny how people said about Chris Paul and imagining him being on a cover of a bowling game.

Woah... totally unexpected move there. Chris Paul? C'mon 2K, you have a bigger budget than that! Any more info out on 2k8?

Chris is a better Point Guard IMO. He RUNS his squad. Not to take away from Agent Zero, hes really good too, but, assuming Kidd will be stepping aside soon, Paul is the best true point guard in the Eastern Conference. Gil is more of a playmaking 2-guard. Either one of em could sell the hell out of a wheaties box though...

edit realized hes not eastern conference. yeah, my b. But he WOULD be the best in the eastern conference, lol

Gil needs some low post help big time... the Wizards will turn into another New Jersey if theyre not careful. BUCKETS of talent, just not in the positions they really need them in...

gilbert arenas is a better athlete IMO, and he's definitely the better video game cover guy just because he's actively into video games.

But, who cares about the cover athlete :-p I want to see gameplay, graphics, dynasty, etc.

Hahaha, yea Chris Paul is in the Western Conference, the Hornets aren't in the East anymore  . The next best pure PG's in the East would be Jose Calderon and TJ Ford though if we take out Paul. They aren't worse pure PG's than him, but not as good players.

I'm a big Chris Paul fan, and a big Arenas fan though, but their games are very different.

Chauncey is another Gilbert Arenas type to me. I think he has lost some of his effictiveness playing the point. Andre is a good point guard, but hs not a threat to do anything with the ball OTHER then pass lol. TJ better get his jumpshot up before he ends up in the same category of andre, lol. Calderon is Nasty. He's got balls, too. Love a scrappy point guard. :)

Then don't post in this topic.....

Anyways, I think Chris Paul is a good decision. I think Gilbert Arenas didn't make it maybe because of getting injured.

Well, he did make it. He's just not the cover player for the 2K series.

I think both are fine choices, Arenas' popularity and personality might make put him slightly ahead in terms of being marketable but at the end of the day the hardcore fans are going to buy the game for what's inside the box, not who's on the cover.

Well, I like CP3, but Arenas is my favorite player. He's a better cover athlete in so many ways. He's extremely marketable, talented and a gamer.

Paul isn't a bad cover (a lot better than having Shaq on it AGAIN), but they could have done a lot better. I wish they would put Nash on a cover, even if he does look like a caveman and is white.
