PS2 Online "kit"

Hola.

A couple months ago I finally got a PS2 (just for NBA 2k7). I'm really happy with it, but can't seem to find the online kit thingy for it anywhere. Is it only available through online orders now? Anyone happen to know?

Also, if you wouldn't mind typing a bit, how does it work?

Did you get a thin PSTwo? Just plug it into your router and enter the Online part in 2K7, I'm pretty sure you can set it up in that without the "Online Startup Disk"

If you got one of the original ugly ones, you need to buy a network adapter from the online. And be flogged for getting the original style of PS2.

Damnit I didn't know the new slim ones came with it built in.

I got one of the old 'fat' ones for like 60 bucks.

I guess I'll have to order one online, no store seems to carry them anymore. Thanks.

A new one would take away all the savings you got from getting that old one and more...a used one looks to run about $35-40.

Another downside to the old ones is that will eventually breakdown because of that motorized diskslot. New ones are fliptop and won't have the problem.

Looks like there's some that might be had for cheaper on Ebay. Oh well. I only got the system for one game, might be osbolete if NBA Live 08 is worth a shit (which I highly doubt, but we'll see).
