SACRAMENTO -- Leandro Barbosa vs. Tony Parker, two of the fastest guys in the NBA, both can catch up to one another. Unfortunately for the Kings, they don't have Barbosa. Neither Bibby, nor Price could stay close to Parker as he took the Kings apart with 37 points. San Antonio had an amazing run in the 2nd quarter to finish it out, going on a 10-2 run. In the 4th quarter, the Spurs turned on their stellar defense and only let the Kings score 18 points as they won again, now at 6-4. Manu got 20 and Duncan finished with 17 and 12 for the Spurs. For Kings, all starters scored in double figures, but bench brought almost nothing. Martin scored 17 and Abdur Rahim got 15 and 10. "You know, Kings are a tough team, but we were able to make some defensive adjustments, Bruce played great on Ron to force tough shots, we limited them to a pretty bad FG percentage and 3 pointers" - said Tim Duncan. Kings shot horrible from the FT line, Bibby is certainly struggling going 1-6, Spurs shot bad from FT line too, but were able to make half of their 3's, while Kings shot only 22%.

Associated Press

SACRAMENTO -- Mike Bibby was on fire the entire week, scoring 25, 33 and 31 points again Utah, Seattle, and Portland, respectively. "I felt great, most of the time, I got away from my defender and nailed an open shot" - said Bibby. The game against the Jazz came down to the wire. The Kings were down 93-95 with 32 seconds to go. John Salmons was still in the game, and Kirilenko decided to switch to Martin to double team him, Kevin hit Salmons alone about 13 ft away from the basket and John nailed the open shot with 13 seconds left. "I really worried about my shot, because I didn't take a good shot, thankfully it went in" - said Salmons, who scored 7 points off the bench. Jazz called a TO and Artest came in the game. Williams had the ball at the top of the key. Ron put on his lockdown D and was able to get the ball from Williams. He got fouled with 3 seconds to go. 1 out of 2. Williams dribbled it to about half court, but airballed the shot. For the Jazz, Okur had a good game with 23 points and 10 boards, while Martin was the main support for Bibby with 21 points.

The Seattle game was another heart breaker for Sonics fans. Sonics are on fire, and were 9-4, before the Kings game. Even without Lewis, Ridnour and Allen are still finishing the job. The game was tied at 107-107 at 12 seconds left. Ridnour made a crazy shot from the right side of the elbow to make it 110-107. Artest was on fire in that game and he got the ball with 10 seconds to go. He dribbled it down the court, and made a 3 pointer from the left elbow with Laron Profit's hand in his face. "It was amazing, I never saw anyone that confident in himself, especially taking the last shot" - said Kevin Martin after the game, he had 19 points. Bibby was playing good again with 33 points, he kept the team in the game in the beginning, and then it was all Ron Ron. In the OT, the Sonics broke down and the Kings rolled on for a win. Ridnour and Allen combined for 71 points.

The Kings traveled back to Cali's capital the next day to take on the 4-9 Blazers. Game started out close, but Kings kept a lead throughout the game, in the end Brandon Roy's 21 and Darius Miles' 20 points weren't enough to beat the hot Kings. "Zach needs to step up his game, if we want to be playoff contenders, because he is this teams leader, and 11 point won't cut it for us" - said Nate McMillan. Kevin Martin had an off night, but Brad Miller put in 15 with 8 boards and Artest added 12. The Kings are 9-3 now, and are on top of the Western Conference!
