It was the biggest games of his life and he was defended well, the morning of game 4 his GF gave birth, and LeBron didn't want to win anymore. I can't blame him, he's younger than boobie gibson believe it or not, and his girlfriend was due to give birth at any time. He obviously had a lot on his mind.

Also, let me say this again, LeBron is younger than rookie boobie gibson. LeBron has a good amount of time left in the NBA, just give it a rest. The spurs were the better team.

The spurs were the better team by far, they've been there before and won it 3 times. The cavs have never been there.

And last year LeBron was michael jordan, but this year he's not? He's only 22, it took MJ 7 years to win a title, LeBron is pretty damn close for his 4th year in the NBA, and his team around him sucks 90% of the time.

The cavs are a couple of players away from winning a championship.

Also, LeBron obviously was not focused on the game because that same morning his GF just gave birth to Bryce Maximus James. He turned it over on purpose it looked like sometimes.

Regardless, I'm very proud of the success of this team, it's unbelievable. Mike Brown is the 2nd youngest coach in the NBA, and last year he brought the team to their first playoffs since who knows how long, and this year he brought this team to the NBA finals for the first time in franchise history (He was only here for 2 seasons, and they were both great seasons). The success of some of the players we've seen this year is fantastic (Mostly Boobie Gibson, also Drew Gooden <really becoming more consistent>, also a big one is sasha pavlovic). Imagine if Larry Hughes was what he was supposed to be, if he was this team would of actually been close to the spurs, and this team would of swept detroit.

Very good season, the spurs just are a better team right now, but the LeBron dynasty is booming fast, and he's only 22!

Also, the cleveland fans aren't upset by this, not one of them. They are happy to have gotten this far. We got some of the best fans here , the players didn't lose their composure after they lost like detroit.

Lebron is a good player, not a great one yet, but he will get there. He has all the physical tools to be one of the greatest. He already has the maturity and the team first attitude. Now he must work on the one thing that makes basketball easier for any baller out there - shooting.

If he develops that shot of his... he'll be really hard to defend. Right now, he's very inconsistent. Even during his historic game 5, he shot an airball sometime during his points streak.

He'll probably shoot hundreds of shots everyday this summer.

lol... can't accept the fact that Lebron played poorly so you make up excuses for him? Come on man, I know the Cavs didn't provide much (if any) support for Lebron in the finals, but you got to admit that he didn't do much himself either. Also, whether Larry Hughes played well or not, the Spurs were still going to sweep Cleveland. They are just far superior in every aspect of the game. Hell, I don't even know if any Eastern Conference teams could have come close to beating San Antonio this year.

I'm from Cleveland, and what I saw in this series unnerved me. I don't like all the talk about how the Cavs shouldn't have been there. The Finals are still the same Finals that Magic, Michael, and Larry played in. You have to earn the right to get there. I'm probably not the biggest Cavs fan (I grew up a Rockets fan), but they earned a lot of respect from me. They had the talent to win, in my opinion. What they were lacking was discipline. When you're down 2 points with less than 2 minutes in the friggin' Finals, don't shoot threes! Bring it in, and put it in. They can foul you or let you have it. Get an OT if you have to, and then run the Spurs into the ground, 'cause you're younger, and they're tired. The Cavs don't need to make huge roster changes for next year, maybe a few tweaks, and ditch Larry "I've played sometimes for the last three years" Hughes. Somebody will be dumb enough to take him, and we can get some more muscle underneath! God knows we have enough point/shooting guards. The Cavs had all the magic, all the talent, just no maturity. If the fickle fans of Cleveland can stay behind 'em, and they don't butcher the lineup, this team can be great in a year or two.
Hats off to the Spurs, though... they are the premier team of this decade, and they always show it with class.

I've been watching NBA since the 99-00 season, and this is easily the worst season I have ever witnessed.

The regular Season really isn't that important, but with the mas injuries, it sucked more than usual.

All-Star Weekend was terrible. The two games were blowouts, and Saturday was half-assed.

Then there was the playoffs. In the first round, last year's finalists were knocked out right off the bat. No Miami vs. Detroit 3.... The Warriors beating Dallas, while exciting sucked, since it deprived the rest of the playoffs of any real excitement. The Spurs quite easily dominated after that. Aside of Game 5 of DET/CLE, the playoffs were garbage.

There really was nothing good about this season. I hope next year is better.

You find me a city that wouldn't be booing at the trophy presentation in any nba finals if the champion won at the other team's home.

I mean, come on. Who cares, me personally if I was there I would of left after the final buzzer, but any fans would of booed, if the cavs won four in a row and were the champions, the SA fans would of been booing during the presentation too

I'm not making excuses for lebron, he is the reason they lost game 4, but he had a kid that same morning, he only got 3 hours of sleep. Having a child is a pretty big thing and nerve wrecking for the father, all LB cared about was how his kid and GF was doing, like any father would. I don't blame him for losing the series, the spurs were just the better team (like the cavs were the better team against the pistons, the pistons a better team against chicago). It doesn't mean cleveland doesn't have talent, they do. They had a lot of wide open shots, if they made those shots they might of beat the spurs. If you look at that, if the cavs had 1-2 shooters they might of made those open shots and they wouldn't of even been close to getting swept.

They're just 1 or 2 years away. Good season, for the cavs and spurs (Again), great season for utah, good season for detroit (again).

My hats go off to the cavs though, very few of the fans here in cleveland are even talking about getting embarrassed in the finals, the fans havent been here in forever, they were happy to be here and happy with the progress they made, and the coaching staff and players played like they were just happy to be there.

I thought Cavs put up a better fight than Phoenix. Yes they were swept...but the last two games were won by a margin of a single shot and the Cavs did many, many boneheaded things to lose to the last 2 games. I think if Amare wasn't suspended, it would have just delayed the inevitable since nobody on Phoenix can stop Duncan or Parker.

This definitely is an interesting Spurs run because the guy who couldn't be stopped wasn't Duncan, it was Tony Parker, and the old-school, defensive Spurs won mainly on Parker's And1 game and their overall team 3 point shooting.

As far as Duncan goes, he's unstoppable too, changes shots and dominated inside. There are three invaluables IMO for the spurs and they're Duncan, Parker and Ginobili (flops included).

thats the thing though, duncan is stopable. like maes said the nba seems to be making it a guards game the best they can. a player like duncan can be stopped alot easier than a player like parker now. i mean, if you go near parker you get called for a foul, all you gotta do on duncan is fall down when he starts dribbling.
