In the game against the Heat wade won it single Handed, he was a machine almost unstoppable and he made his shots too bad luck to lose maybe next time double team him or something (Y)

Thats my 1-2 punch with Bosh and Deng, and sometimes with Bargnani...Wade killed me, as well as Miles did, but different outcomes...

Russell Talks to Luol Deng and His Future with the Raptors
Image

Russell: Well, about a week ago you arrived to your new team and a new city, reason being traded from the Bulls to the Raptors, what are your thoughts on being traded?

Deng: I really liked playing in Chicago, next to Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon, and I can't forget about Ben Wallace this past off-season who really though me how to be aggressive when I'm on the floor.

Russell: Things didn't really go well in Chicago, you came off the bench and only averaging 6.8 PPG, and 3.7 RPG, what was the reason being that?

Deng: I never really got a chance to show my skills in Chicago, playing around players like Andres Nocioni, Tyrus Thomas, it's hard to get any playing time. They weren't happy with my progression so they decided to trade me, but I was getting to leave too.

Russell: Can you imagine going back to Chicago anytime in your future?

Deng: For right now, I can't. I think that I found my home, here in Toronto and I'm sure that Mr. Colangelo won't trade me, if he is happy, of course.

Russell: For the past 3 games, since your arrival in Toronto you started all 3 games. For the past 19-20 games with Chicago, you didn't have a starting spot, not even one game. Can you explain to me, what is the difference between Toronto and your former team, Chicago?

Deng: I think that it's the Organization and the way that they treat their players, and how they give them time to see what they are made up of. In Chicago, as I said before didn't have time to show off anything that I already know about basketball. Toronto liked me, traded for me and I'm happy to be here.

Russell: You've been averaging 23.6 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 4.0 APG, 1.6 SPG with this Toronto Raptors team. A major improvement since your days in Chicago, I mentioned the stats before. What made you play better, is it more time on the floor, is it that you're one of the TOP 3 go-to-guys on the Raptors, as far as scoring?

Deng: Well, of course playing time plays a big role is my success. Coach Mitchell understood what my problem in Chicago was and gave me a chance. I feel great playing next to guys, like Chris, Andrea, TJ and many others as well as my teammate from Chicago PJ Brown. It's really nice how we all support each other, and PJ teaching me and Bosh the fundamentals of the game, offensively, but mainly defensively, as known before he is one of the best defenders in the post.

Russell: Good luck on your new team in the future, playing along side with Bosh and Bargnani. Hope you guys accomplish something in the future, because this Raptors team has a bright and young future if they stick together. Thank You for spending time with me and really seeing what a great sportsmanship you got. Again, good luck!

Deng: No, thank you. It has been a pleasure talking to an NBA Legend, someone like Bill Russell. Thanks again!

INJURY REPORT

 The Raptors have lost Chris Bosh, again. In the game against the Nets, he was going up for a layup, expecting contact, but Mikki Moore moved out of the way, Bosh made it, but he fell and landed funny on his foot. That same moment he left the game and an hour later, the doctors decided that his injury will take 5 weeks to heal. The Raptors sure will miss him out on the floor, but what happens, well happens.

Ok well I didn't feel like playing, want the Bosh Injury to come sooner so I simmed like the next 6 games, went 1-5. Currently my record is 12-20. Having Bosh out is so hard. Here is the results, and also I made a trade:

The Toronto Raptors are having a really bad start to their season. You can start with the injuries that happened to their star player, Chris Bosh then to Morris Peterson, who was traded to Philadelphia 76ers couple weeks ago. But just having Chris Bosh out is very a big loss for the team. The Raptors and Bryan Colangelo have also made a trade that brought Luol Deng from the Chicago Bulls to Toronto. That trade worked out perfectly for the Toronto Raptors, as Deng is averaging nearly a double-double and just under 20 pts per game with the Raptors, his major improvement since his days in Chicago. The Raptors however are the last team in the East and have the second worst overall record with 13 wins and 25 losses, Memphis being the worst team in the NBA. Chris Bosh just made his return, 2 games ago, after sitting out for a month with a broken toe. He is still gonna have problems with the toe, but doctors say it will be all good for another 4 days. The Raptors went 1-5, the last 6 games, and are 2-10, the last 12. These were their games and results:

Image

Colangelo doesn't know what do, but he thinks that their point-guard position is lacking. He says that TJ Ford does a great job leading the team at point, but he feels that it isn't enough and that he needs more scoring on his back-court. He will need a point-guard that can take over a game at any point, and that is a good scorer. Jose Manuel Calderon does a great job, backing him up, but whoever else comes to the team for TJ, I'm sure he'll do a great job. Colangelo has contacted the New Orleans and they were able to work out this trade:

Image

Raptors and the Hornets were able to work out this deal that sent, Andrea Bargnani, and TJ Ford to the Hornets in exchange for Chris Paul, and Marc Jackson. We needed a guy, someone like Chris Paul. I feel that he is a perfect fit for the team, and he'll fit in playing with Chris Bosh and Luol Deng. Sources say that the Raptors shouldn't have traded Bargnani who was drafted 1st overall back in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Raptors. But they also say that the Hornets made a very bad move by trading Chris Paul, that was their future, and they shouldn't have done that. Hornets GM, said that he likes the deal, of course he will miss Chris Paul and the things he had done for the franchise for the past 2 seasons. We sure will miss him, but at the same time we gotta adjust to out new additions, TJ Ford and Andrea Bargnani. I think that they will be a good addition to this team and I look for those two to bring championships to the New Orleans team in the future, he laughed when he said that. Both teams are happy with the trade. Now look out for those Raptors as they are looking to make a run, finally with everybody playing together, Bosh, Deng, and Paul.

I really don't like the trade, Bargnani is going to be really good(in Live at leasT) and TJ ford isn't that bad. Chris Paul is not worth both players...

Interesting trade. It seems too lopsided in your favor at first, seeing as Paul is already one of the top 5 PG's in the league, and has huge upside, but Ford and Bargnani equal Paul's value.

I can't believe your 13-25!! At least now you have what could soon be the best big 3 in the league is Paul-Deng-Bosh. Improve at C and SG, and you'll be an instant contender.

hey thanks....I was lookin around the league and all the PG's...3 names came to my mind...Tony Parker, Deron Williams, Chris Paul....I was like Parker wont leave the Spurs, wanna see what he'll when Duncan retires, didnt wanna touch him...Deron Williams, also didnt wanna touch him either, he has BoozerLoozer so I wanna see if theyre gonna be contenders in a couple years, so that left me with CP3...he aint got nobody special on his team so I got him...

I think he is, Bargnani and Ford was just too much for giving up on him, but I dont need Bargnani, another scorer on the team, next to Bosh...might get a defensive one in the draft or somethin..I like that trade...got a future All-Star...great compliment to Bosh and Deng in the future...

yup my record sucks, but hopefully it'll turn better once I got Paul and Bosh playing together, and Deng who can score anytime...thx

i dig the CP3 trade; tougher/more durable than TJ Ford imo; i know Bargnani's got potential but it's a little easier finding a quality F/C than a true PG; nice pick up for your Raps
