No Shelter
Know Your Enemy
Take the Power Back
Darkness - probably the only Rage song that could be classified as 'easy listening'.

Those are very nice. I especially like "Take the Power Back".

While their lyrics and message are a bit extreme, I like them because it is refreshing to hear a band that feels so strongly about what they produce but at the same time they make great music. I'm probably more attracted to Morello's, Commerford's, and Wilk's instrumentals than de la Rocha's vocals anyway. I'm a huge Audioslave fan.

Did anyone check out the new Bone Thugs Album? IMO, totally off of their old stuf... they seriously need Bizzy back and just kick off Wish Bone. Never liked him, never will. "Guns Blast" is the only decent song for me.

Got 4 albums of late that are absolute top notch. Some of the best CD's I've got in years and well and truly worth checking out

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Baby 81
The Kooks - Inside In/Inside Out
The View - Hats Off To The Busker
Kings Of Leon - Because of the Times

The first two especially are brilliant. Best BRMC album ever, great riffs, songs build up nicely, great lyrics and variety. The Kooks is very British and very cool. Most songs are up beat, have a feel of the Kinks, Libertines and The Jam. Can even here a little funk going on a times. One of those albums you can't stop listening to.

As for the southern rap discussion: yes outkast is from atlanta. Also Ludacris, Jermaine Dupris, TI (as already mentioned) and a few others. I personally love southern rap as i can actually understand most of whats said and they usually have good beats. If you're counting "crunk" as southern rap, i could see why you dont like it but remember that shit is just the new fad and will go away soon.

At illini: As far as me having a Rage sig and avatar, it was spur of the moment kind of thing. I like their music but I'm not a hardcore fan by any means. And about me being a "huge" Audioslave fan, I think I just should have said that I like them.

My respect for you just went down 20 points. I don't even think any Audioslave members would say that they are better. I know Tom definitley likes Rage more and always has, that's why Rage is back and Audioslave is in the garbage. I'm just going to pretend Rage never broke up and that sham of a band never got together.

Cornell is definitely a superior front man to Zach, it's not even really up for debate. However the style of music that Audioslave makes is highly inferior to anything that Rage ever produced. Zach fits in better with that Rage style and vibe, but all things equal, he can't hold a candle to Chris.

Yeah, you gotta take bands as they are and not always try to compare them to each other, even if comparing these 2 seems pretty obvious here. I've always liked RATM but I wouldn't really buy any new stuff from them if there was any, it doesn't seem like they could evolve and reinvent themselves if they wanted to.

I absolutely love songs that are loaded with numerous rappers...how can you not love a song featuring Akon, T.I., Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Birdman, and LIL' WAYNE (I put his name in caps because he's the best there is right now, IMO). And the music video is fantastic as well.

Yeah he was down with NWA and was more of a west-coast MC in his style, but he hails from Dallas. The classic album you're thinking of is No One Can Do It Better. He hasn't done anything besides ghostwrite for a long-ass time because a car crash took out his vocal chords and severely messed with his voice. He has still rapped on occasion, but not like he did before.

Oh, another big-time hip-hop name from the south: DJ Premier. Born in Houston.
