CL: Liverpool vs AC Milan

Postby Anthony15 on Thu May 24, 2007 5:48 am

So far Inzaghi's "god's hand" put Rosoneri in the lead 1-0... Liver needs to take out Alonso for sure, maybe change into an attacking mode and go 3-5-2. Milan is doing ok besides Jankulowski Gilardinho for a second attacker or Kaladze to go 4-5-1.

PS GO MILAN!!

Tried to start this in the football thread, but I guess it deserves its own thread. I was rooting for Milan but I wish they hadn't given up the goal to Liverpool so the handball goal wouldn't have mattered.

Also, they called for 3 minutes of added time, and during the first two minutes Milan used all sorts of stalling tactics, as well as a substitution by both teams. Despite this, the ref called the game at 2:43 into extra time. Very strange.

17 tics is nothing man, they will make a big controversery in England, sort of their excuse for not winning. Milan had an inbounds, he could've thrown it all the way to GK, kick it around on defense, hit it miidle there it is, its nothing big...but it will be tomorrow in papers.

congratulations to milan.
pool shouldnt have got mascherano out of game. he held kaka' under control.

but i think fandel should have let em play 3 minutes extratime so noone had to say anything about it.

i think its ok that the 1-0 was given to milan because pipo had no chance to avoid being hitted by the ball

The game had nice moments, normally Finals are pretty boring. Gerrard had the tie but Dida made a great save, and I wanted to see Mark Gonzalez play. If Crouch played more than just a couple minutes then maybe the result would've been different, but still, Milan was the better team and had the best player (Kaka) in the tournament. He's probably the best in the world right now, IMO.

Yeah, Kaka is probably going to win the Golden Boot, maybe Ronney somewhere second, but Kaka is the best right now.

Kakà is the most expected to win the Golden Boot. He brought almost by himself Milan to the CL final, he really deserves the throphy.
