kbryant's realistic lakers dynasty

Postby kbryant24 on Sun May 13, 2007 8:08 am

I decided to start a realistic Lakers dynasty.

First of all, we hired 3 assistants (A- in offense, A in defense, A in athletics). We are going to train young Andrew Bynum for the whole season.

Secondly, we made a few trade offers to the Indiana Pacers showing our interest in Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley. After a long discussion, a trade was finally successful. The Lakers traded Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, and Smush Parker for Jermaine O'Neal, Orien Greene, and Rawle Marshall.

We are now currently trying to make a trade for Jamaal Tinsley. We will update as soon as we are done negotiating a trade.

Edit:
We have made a second trade with the Indiana Pacers. The Lakers traded Chris Mihm, Vladimir Radmanovic, and Luke Walton for Jamaal Tinsley, Jeff Foster, and Maceo Baston.

Since we were lacking a decent player to start the SF position, we decided to negotiate with the Atlanta Hawks. After a couple meetings our decisions were set. The Lakers and Hawks agree to trade Aaron Mckie and Shammond Williams for Josh Childress and Esteban Batista.

We made a final negotiation with the Indiana Pacers. We decided to trade Josh Childress and Esteban Batista for Shawne Williams and Keith Mcleod.

Here is our new player rotation:

Here is a highlight of Kobe Bryant against the Utah Jazz. However, they lost by two points.

Looks decent for a first dynasty. How will this be presented? Game by game or...?

other important information such as computer trades will be presented

pictures will be included in playoff logs

I have a couple pointers for your presentation. Use bold, underlines, colors and sizes to present events better. It just looks more professional and is more appealing to the eye. EXAMPLE:

Trade News

The Memphis Grizzlies have traded Forward Pau Gasol to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Guard Larry Hughes

Also, the Indiana Pacers have traded Guard Josh Childress to the San Antonio Spurs for Guard Michael Finley.

It simply looks better and makes events seem more important. Play around with it, and your dynasty will look a lot better. ;)

No problem. You should look at other dynasties for other examples.

Sadly, our team was not able to make it to the playoffs this year. Hopefully we will have a firm spot next year.

The 2007 Champions are the Phoenix Suns

edit: Looking for suggestions/comments for next year (who should i trade away, etc)

Due to salary cap, the team wasn't able to make an extending contract to Ronny Turiaf, Baston, Brian Cook, and Mcleod.

Our first round pick was a power forward named Dabrowski (overall 69) and our second round pick was a center named Varga (overall 64)

We decided to negotiate with the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons were interested in Jeff Foster and a decent backup center, while we were interested in Nazr Mohammad and a backup small forward. In the end we decided to trade Jeff Foster and our second round pick Leon Varga for Nazr Mohammad and Damir Markota. This trade will also free up some salary cap space.

Note about training

-We are going to train our young Andrew Bynum in offense, defense, and athletics throughout the whole season.

Here is our new player rotation:

-The Wizards sign Jason Terry to a 4 year contract for 44.53M

-The Magics sign P. Millsap to a 4 year contract for 27.35M

-The Grizzlies sign Olowokandi to a 3 year contract for 7.50M
-The Bulls sign Nick Collison to a 4 year contract for 24.04M

WOW lots of big signing although i didn't really like the Trade because Nazr isn't one of my favourite players and i love the way Foster cleans the boards.

Reagarding the rotation your team looks good and gee the magic got some great signings with Bell, Milsap and Webber also some good pick ups by 76ers with Griffin and Smush :D

i Hate smush parker, i think hes a waste of cap space

i got mohammad because he can rebound and get blocks and was a bit cheaper than foster (both in the 5M). yea i like foster too but all he can do is rebound and we need more than that haha.

edit: i might try to get foster back for mohammad.. but ill have to see how mohammad does. you think i should get foster back?

i really do like how foster (how he plays real life) and i think he looks like more of a laker.. so im going to try to negotiate with the pistons ;P

edit:

The Detroit Pistons were willing to negotiate; however, they did not want to make a full refund of the trade. They wanted Markota back along with Mohammad for Foster. We agreed with that offer.

i had to play most of the games except like 1 or 2 because we kept losing :-(

few of the games i played ended up in overtime.. the first game against the hornets ended up in triple OT i think.. it was crazy lol

but i dont like recaping season games.. i like to recap the playoffs.. so wait for that :)
