multiple cyberfaces??

Postby mdiamond on Tue Sep 16, 2003 3:00 pm

I wonder if EA would ever have an option for multiple cyberfaces. Maybe a Ben Wallce option for the fro and dreads. Or any other players that change their hair styles.

It used to be possible in earlier Lives. Dennis Rodman had multiple face .fsh files, each with a different hair colour. The game would randomly select a face and the corresponding 2D portrait .fsh file.

So don't go counting on this one.

i still remember that option with rodman, weird thing was, after a lot of time(almost a year or so), his hair always stayed red(or was it orange dunno for sure), guess the random thingy was defect or something

Since it's random, the possibility exists that the same face file will be selected numerous times in a row.

EA needs to keep Ben Wallace with the dreads. His fro in the game looks crap, and I hate playing the Pistons or whatever team he's been traded to and I won't ever trade for him, just because of his afro, it looks crap, I'd prefer to see him with the dreads.

Now this again points out that I ain't that active pathcer... I didn't even think about the opportunity to ask for a ben wallace w/dread locks patch... That should be quite easily done, with our capable pacthing crowd.

I'm sure that anyones hair will not be that big of an issue... It would be cool if we could have the capability to add different cyberfaces for different players and use them all in the game. The AI would randomly select one that the player would have for that game.

But there probably is no random cyber face engine in the game so that's that for that...

Actually, I've always liked Wallace's 'fro. I just find it unique and looks pretty cool in the game. But, that's my opinion.

I think it was Live 2000 when Iverson had 2 different hairstyles. Could be Live 2001 too, not sure. Either way, I thought it was a good idea.

Would be nice if EA could add the different hairstyles in the original release. But like everyone else said, patchers can EASILY patch up the problem.

Ben Wallace doesn't have dreads...He sports briads and individuals(which look like dreads), be he doesn't wear dreads..However I agree that fro is terrible. Dont give me the mess about thats how he wears his headband. EA should have made it all fuzzy like Sega Sports did.
