This is really nice, a Clip dynasty. I'll be reading this.

I was thinking about doing something similar, also with the Clips, and starting at the 07/08 season. Another coincidence, in my dynasty Elton brand hurt his achilles, too, 13 minutes into the first game of the first round of the playoffs.

Xiphias, Well I actually thought of making a mini AK 47 out of Korolev since he has his ups in the same areas. I also love my post player although I noticed Tim Thomas is not a really good Power Forward. No rebounding ..

looser, thank you, props go alway back lovin your warriors :)

3PK, thank you, corrected my spelling ;)

pacers4eva, Yes the Hawks arent even cool when you rebuild them, I noticed that too late. Might need a new logo and uniforms and stuff, but I was just too lazy/busy.
Thank you, glad youre following

Mr Knick, well I was sure I need a big man because I did not resign with Calvin Booth and James Singleton. (at least Booth was really big)
I took a look on www.nbadraft.net and saw that Hibbert is a top 10 prospect .. and 7-2. So this was a no brainer for me with the 19th pick. Cant believe anybody passed on Durant (exept the Cats ;) ) Glad you like it thx for following.

Sacke12, thx to you, dont care about missing anything ;) just check by every now and then, really appreciate your comments.

Pdub, glad youre followin. Actually I was pretty glad he got hurt because I was really afraid of my team making it too far so that no motivation for me is left. ;)

Anthony15, thank you ! glad youre reading !

Thanks for your many comments :) Im afraid to say that Im a bit busy right now but I think I will update this tomorrow. Just no time today :(

The Los Angeles Clippers will head into their first week of the season on the road. A five game road trip will lead them to the East Coast for games against Atlanta, New Jersey, New York and Toronto this week. "I think that are quite difficult games, but this trip is something very special for me since we meet the Hawks and the Knicks, I am especially looking forward to coming back to the garden" Chris Hov smiled. While the matches against the Hawks and the Knicks should be the easier tasks anyway, the Nets and the Raptors will be very hard to play Hov knows. "I mean you know, VC, J-Kidd and RJ are a handful, alway you play them. We also have very much respect of the Raptors. What Bosh and Aldridge are doing is really impressing" he praised his opponents. Hov also released his current player rotation which you can see below. "I think Sam (Cassell) can still bring so much to the table and deserves to start. But he will kinda share the playtime with Shaun (Livingston). He is our future."
Hov also plans to put a lot of the scoring load on Corey Maggette.
"Corey has the talent to put up superb numbers every game and although I do not want to criticize Mike (Dunleavy) I think he did not really appreciate Corey´s skills. Elton (Brand) and Corey will be our main guys when it comes to scoring we already designed different plays. But I do not want to tell you too much."

Make a guess on the record the Clippers will achieve this week. You get one point for each right guess and the top 5 will gain a spot as rookies next season.

The road trip will be difficult, and it is the start of the season, so I think you will have some tough games. My guess is 2-2.

I think you will go 4-0.

I'm also really glad that you put Corey as one of the main scoring options. He's a very explosive scorer and has gotten me out of jams many times.

Clippers 97, Hawks 77

Atlanta, October 28th (AP) -- Brand, Maggette lead Clipps past Hawks.

The Los Angeles Clippers started of their week very well an won against the Atlanta Hawks. Leading by as many as 31 points the Clippers gave playing time to all of their players and lost the last quarter by 11 points.
Corey Maggette and Elton Brand both had 19 points each and combined for a 16-26 shooting while Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 24 points. Atlanta had no chance mainly because of their weak shooting.

L.A. falls short against strong Nets
Clippers 96, Nets 99

New Jersey, October 30th (AP) -- Jason Kidd sealed the deal with 2 freethrows with 0.8 seconds left.
The L.A. Clippers were not able to continue their road trip with a win as they lost to the New Jersey Nets. It was mainly the 3rd quarter where the Clippers were not able to increase their 6-point lead. Vince Carter was on fire in the third and scored 10 points. Jason Kidd also played a big role with his uptempo style. The Clippers executed well offensively but lacked of defensive stopps and often lost the battle at the glass. Elton Brand put up decent numbers with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Eight of only 35 while the Nets grabbed 43.
The Clippers were able to come of a 16 point deficit as Sam Cassell hit the only three in the game for the Clipps to make it a 3 point game. Both teams traded baskets in this minute and the Clipps were forced to foul Jason Kidd late who hit both and sealed the deal for the Nets.

Clipps beat Knicks in Hov´s comeback
Clippers 97, Knicks 90

New York, November 1st (AP) -- Again Brand and Maggette shine in the Clippers´ win.
Knicks Coach and GM Chris Hov really had reasons to cheer after a strong performance by his team during the whole game against the Knicks. But he also was quite amused by the warm welcome his ex-colleagues and the fans in the Garden gave him. "You know I did my very best here and we had a great time, and the fans were very loyal to me back in the days and today", Hov said.
"It was very emotional for him, so we did our best to make it a perfect day for him", Elton Brand, the team´s captain said.
Brand was again the team´s consistent factor. He opened a 7 points lead in the first with his 8 points on 4-5 shooting. The Knicks had problems to find a way to beat the defense of the Clippers.
With a 6-point lead at halftime the Clippers were pretty satisfied with themselves and almost lost the momentum in the 3rd when Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry stepped up to make it only a one point deficit. "It is hard to see that we have the chance to tie the game, loose the ball and then are not able to score on the next five possesions I think, but credits to the Clipps for their tough defense", Jamal Crawford said. Both teams only combined for 11 turnovers in the game. The Clipps closed out the game with some freethrows by Allan Ray who has a tight place on the court when it comes to foulshooting late in the game. Rookie Marco Belinelli hit 3 of 3 shots en route to 8 points, one shot an incredible Buzzerbeater.

Clippers again fail to build streak, loose at Toronto
Clippers 78, Raptors 96

Toronto, November 02 (AP) --- 5 Raptors in double figurs beat Clipps easily.
The Clippers had no chance this time and again failed to build a streak. After a tough match yesterday they were still a bit out of breath and could not overcome a 8 point deficite after the half. Although Chris Bosh had to leave the court with his 5 foul in the 3rd and did never return the Raptors made big plays down the stretch and were abel to pull away with the huge win. Rookie Tiago Splitter stepped in and showed a great effort with 10 points and 6 boards. Anthony Parker led all Raptors with 18 points. The Clippers were outrebounded by 16 (!) and shot only .41 from the field. Elton Brand recorded a double double but the others were again not able to contribute. The Clippers also just shot 1-13 from downtown which is just not good enough.

Clippers Boxscore
Raptors Boxscore
Friday Scores
Statline of the day: Kevin Garnett: 38 points, 18-28 FG, 22 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks.

Saturday, the 3rd of November

Saturday Scores
Statline of the day: Carmelo Anthony: 31 points, 14-25 FG, 11 rebounds, 5 assists in only 29 minutes.

Amazing recap hova (Y) As I predicted you went 2-2. These games on a road sometimes are very tough to handle, so I think 2-2 is decent record at the moment. The pictures are real nice

BTW you mixed Raptors and Clippers boxscores.

I'm too overconfident about the Clippers.

I thought as soon as I saw the schedule and the opening game's score that it would be 4-0. I'm surprised you lost to the Nets, though. You only had 8 turnovers.

Marquis, Thank you, glad you like it. Actually I am working more with ingame screens for stats and stuff since it is just more comfortable. Glad you like it although it is not as much work as my old dynasties. 2-2 is okay, your right, these raod games seem to be like no comeback possible. Corrected the links already yesterday, thx for pointin out.

Anthony15, thanks ;) The Raps are very tough in my dynasty. They have about 6 guys who can score on you on every possesion even with Bosh out for almost the whole game. Garbajosa, Brewer and especially Splitter stepped up.

Lamrock93, thank you ! Well dont mind you have a lot of weeks left to predict correctly ;)

Scoop, well 2-2 is okay, but its not good, thats right. I would have rooted for 3-1, too. Next week will be killer I hope I can win one game at least.

looser, yeah your right ! thank you !!

Sacke12, thank you! AI2´s line was just ridiculous. Couldnt believe it, he is putting up those numbers regularly.

Pdub, well, I hope I can improve. The Nets game was so strange. I did not play weak not only mentioning the turnovers but also the FG % but I just couldnt rebound and made almost no decisive defensiv stopps. I think my defense is not very good and I have to improve it.

The LA Clippers go into their second week of the season and are still on the road but the last game before they will finally reach Los Angeles for their first game in the Staples Center. But at first they have to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs are still waiting for their first win of the season currently at 0-3. Although LeBron is already playing a heck of a season the Cavs had problems. The biggest problem is the lack of "clutchness". The Cavs get outscored by 6 points in the last quarter in average. If they are not able to close out games it does not help that they are ranked first in rebounds and second in 3pt percentage.
On Tuesday the Clippers will head back to L.A. to open the home streak of 9 games. The Nuggets are currently at a 2-2 record. The Nuggets are very strong defensively so far this season. Their opponents only score 85.7 points per game on a .39% shooting. They also force 15 turnovers per game. Will be interesting how the best turnover team so far (LA) will handle them. Offensively they seem to struggle a bit shooting only .402% from the field. And exept Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony none players of the Nuggs were able to score more than 20 points in one game.
The Clippers will give a press conference for the latest news of the team on Wednesday.
Thursday night the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Clippers. The T-Wolves are the suprise of the season so far beating Indiana, Detroit and Milwaukee on their Eastern Road trip from which they now directly travel to the West Coast. Tireness might play a role. Kevin Garnett had a monster game @Milwaukee with 38 points, 22 boards and 8 assists. The rest of the team is actually playing for him more than ever before which is the key to their success right now. The Wolves are also a very good team pressuring the ball and are able to force turnovers and bad shots.
On Saturday the Spurs will head to Los Angeles. The Spurs are still unbeaten 3-0 this season. Mainly because of their big three who combine for 76 of the teams´ 99 points per game. The Spurs know how to defend and rank 4th last in fouls permitted with only 20 per game. They also rank 3rd in assists which shows their great harmony they have on the court right now. Tim Duncan is playing excellently so far. With 19.7 points their bench is also doing quite well and they were able to finish their games with a 10 point difference so far. Tough week for the Clipps, predict the outcome if you want.
