Unfortunately, it's just another shout-out thread.

My plan was to make a flash-based cartoon, involving members of the NLSC. The story line would be a hypothetical concept of a newb first coming to the NLSC, and what he experiences. Basically, the cartoon would start off with this random guy (probably stick figure, knowing my laziness), walking along grassy, hilly fields after dark, where he stumbles accross a massive grey building. It's the NBA Live Series Center. He enters and walks into a massive foyer where he is given options to register etc. After he registers he walks into a huge dome shaped room, where he sees doors. Above each door he sees: "NBA Live 2006 Technical help", "General Talk", "NLSC Issues", etc. Each door leads to a long never-ending hall way with doors running down the side. Each door represents a thread.
Anyway, basically he just walks down the halls and opening random doors and seeing different members of the forum in action. I.e. I was gonna have him open a door and be poked in the eye by Dweaver's nose, open a different doorwalk in and see Jae breathing fire and "flaming" everybody, have various unknown members molestering Kobe Bryant in another door, Jowe beating someone up and getting his jersey texture back, having andrew sitting at an isolated desk in the middle of the room wearing a suit then saying "i've been expecting you". I thought of a bunch of scenarios involving various members and thought, 'how cool would that be to release in a cartoon for my 5k?'. In the end, he ends up exiting in disgust.

However, typical of the way i feel about NLSC now, i became too unmotivated, disinterested, distant from members, and felt there was a lack of character from the "prominant" members of NLSC to really write anything entertaining about (bar a few) to have any chance of completing the project.
Which is why i've decided to call it quits.
Whenver i've been inactive for a little while before, i never really felt the need to "retire" before (It's such a lame concept, isn't it? Lol). But it's different now, and it feels right. Over the past month i sort of forgot about NLSC, and now i generally have no interest in posting again and reading other's opinions etc. (This is in no way meant to be a personal dig against you guys, it's rather more me just being too distant to care). But most of all, my incentive to leave is based on new priorities in my life with being a 1st year Uni student and having a girlfriend (Yes, i realise how cliche that sounded).
A lot of you guys are extremely dedicated to NLSC, and it's great to see. Even if you rag on the place, deep down, you're willing to make the effort to improve things (This statement was told with Jackal in mind

Now down to the individuals shoutouts. My state of mind with these shoutouts is set in my time at NLSC over all. Get ready for some man-love.
Jowe: Over the past year or two we have distanced a bit, but in 2002/2003/2004 we were practically joined at the hip. Back in those days, there wasn't anyone i talked to more on MSN. The good old late night chats. That genuinely affected my social life because i was so tired all the time.

Jae: When i first joined, i missed Jae's era (i think? I don't remember him anyway), and when he returned in 2004 i think it was, i was like 'Who the fuck is this arrogant cunt?'. A year later it turns out he's only a cunt to morons, and turned out to be a good mate (virtual mate anyway) of mine. It's a shame so many people were intimidated by him. He's genuinely helped me in some of my real life situations (girl advice haha). And turns out he had some girl issues of his own that i would give my 2 cents on too. I reckon he's quite an amazing person, and now that he's down in Melbourne i wouldn't be surprised if i bump into him for a beer one day.
Andrew: The automatic mod/admin continues to amaze with his composure. I know you've been praised a million times before, but it's genuinely deserved as you do a comendable job keeping the forums afloat. Can't say i knew all that well personally. But from what i did gather from our brief conversations is that when you don't have your professional hat on, you're actually a quite a humorous dude, in a lame kind of way. Which i like.
Steve-o (Dr Seth Hazzlitt): One of the most influential posters for me. I looked up to him a lot, and always hated that he stopped posting. He brings an internet culture that i quite enjoyed. He was a genuine person, that i respected.
Benji: Possibly the most influential NLSC member in history. Many people mirror Ben's personality in some way whether they like to admit it or not. Back when i first joined, and back when he was a teen (i think?), he used to be quite an asshole to me. However, i'm grateful because it whipped me right up into shape, ironed out my newb-esque moronic behavior and taught to use my brain.
Tales: Among the first people from NLSC that i added to MSN. Unlike the others, he actually didn't mind spending time talking to a "n00b". This always left a lasting impression for me. One of the friendliest guys i knew.
Matthew: I have no idea what you think of me, which made me uneasy. Back in the day, you sort of took me under your wing in a small way as a young nlsc'er. I remember you taped a couple of NBA games from foxtel for me and sent them to me through the mail, which i always thought spoke volumes of your personality and was grateful. In recent times however you seemed very irratable with me. Oh well. Can't say it really bothered me anyway. I still have those tapes somewhere by the way.
David: Speaking of taking me under their wing, David did this in a big way. Good ol' David. Always looks out for the Aussies.

Rens: Can barely remember him now, but i remember liking him.
Dmitri: I kind of regret not getting to know him more, and i wish he had posted at the "new" nlsc. He had a good character about him
Shane: Used to talk to you quite a bit a few years ago. Cool guy. It was interesting having another convo with you a few days ago after all these years.

Jackal: Despite our clashes, i've always appreciated your presence around here. You could be a bit eratic at times, but i can safely say NLSC wouldn't be the same without you. Muchos respectos.
Air Gordon: Limp dilznick. What were you thinking?

Cyanide: One of the most level-headed guys here, and his presence is a great assett.
bigh0rt: Never really warmed up to you, but seem like a respectable dude. I don't know whether your personality is different when you haven't got your modding face or you're always like that. Hopefully not always like that.
Indy: My favourite poster that i never added to MSN. WHY INDY, WHY?!?! Keep it real, banana peel.
Cameron: Cool guy in qwerky kind of way. I always liked that about him.
Stevan: He was the definition of lovable character. It was suprising to see him make one single post recently.

Donatello: Another poster i regret never getting to know further. Seemed like a cool guy.
The X: Same as Donatello.

Shadowgrin: It was great to have a guy from my era still posting. I hope you stick around Joe.
Peachy: Peachy seemed cool. Tis a shame he didn't follow up posting.
Jugs: Though a little awkward, was a cool kid. Stop talking about yourself on MSN! It drove me and jae insane!!
Mentally Hilarious: I doubt you even know me, so it may seem a little strange that i'm shouting you out. But you are an underrated poster that should post more. Same with BigKaBoom actually.
BigKaBoom: ^
Riot: Frustratingly lovable.
Its adsf: Cool guy that should post more.
Ty-Land: I feel like i'm just repeating myself here, but another guy who's postings i appriciated.
Matt: I remember when i was 14 or 15 i used to play basketball then come home and talk to you about it on MSN and tell about the game. Crazy huh? Cos right now i can safely say i don't even know you.
Ok, i can't be bothered typing any more. But here is a list of guys who i sifted through the forums for, looking for guys who's presence i also appriciated:
alexboom, Mark, Laddas, Andreas, Dean, Shannon, Yohance, Null, Axel, dadamafia, Doobie, Tuomas, Jing, Cable Guy, Qballer, Ruff Ryder (i think?

I have this itching feeling i've forgotten someone. Oh well. Sorry
I hope that for everybody's sake, EA will put out a respectable game for 2008. This will cause all sorts of new members and personalities to come rolling in.
To the guys i know through NLSC, you can still catch me around on MSN or even myspace (though i don't normally add people i haven't met before).
I just wanna say that i DO respect every single one of you here, even if i don't show it. Every post is a contribtion to the community. Whether it's good or bad (bad is directed at the the absolute retards who made NLSC frustringly entertaining), you have added to the NLSC in some way, and that is what community interaction is all about. You make the NLSC what it is (that may come off as an insult, but i assure you it's not meant as one

Cya!
