Live '04 Promises better be kept

Postby mdiamond on Sun Sep 14, 2003 6:45 am

Hey what's up everyone. I'm new to this forum although I've used this awesome site for almost 4 years. I've played Live from '95 to today and I can't wait for the new one. But for this game to really meet my expectations some things have to happen. This new NBA store option should be fun but what happens after it's all unlocked? Also the revamped dynasty mode hopefully will have some real new features not just crap that we won't really use and EA tries to pass it off as some great new feature. Hopefully their'll be better freeagent options rookie drafts and maybe a trade-block option. The screens I've seen haven't shown me any great improvements in the players but hopefully the finished product will be polished up alittle. What else should be "In The Game" that yu'd be upset didn't make it?

Well, I'm quiet sad that the Championship Teams arent going to be added anymore  .

I would like the threeteams trading to make a comeback to but unlike in 2001, I would like the trades to WORK.

I hope they do keep their promises of course. Who wouldn't want them to.

I don't know what everyone means by them being hard to understand or not working. I was 11 when I got the game and I instantly knew what to do.

The three team trade feature did work, but not as well as we hoped. The main problem was that you could not suggest player movement between the two CPU teams. As it was, it could sometimes be useful in making a trade work under the salary cap, though you stood a good chance of giving up more players than desired.

I'm assuming the NBA Store won't require you to play multiple seasons in order to unlock everything. I think it will be more a means of getting you in the habit of playing as many games as possible. Once you've unlocked all the NBA Store items, the replay value/continued interest will as usual be the multi-season aspect.

I forgot al about the 3-team trade. That would be great if they brought that back or even add an option for 4 teams. I'm not really "upset" that the old teams won't be in the game, but it's just been mentioned every year that they're going to add them, I know there is contract problems with Kareem and Sir Charles, but just make them #33 and #34 respectively. Also something I forgot to add in my first post was the created players. I like to create myself on all my games. In Madden and my wrestling game I look pretty good but it seems like live doesn't really have that many options to use while you create. One more thing is that I hope with the roster updates they'll say the names of the players. I'll be playing the ps2 version without all the great luxuries of patching my game up. So hopefully the online roster update will add in player names. Cuz I know I probably won't have #2 pick Darko Milicic and it sucked not having Yao all year last year.
