CELTICS DOMINATE BLAZERS

Image

The Blazers looked like they were going to win for the first time this season, while Celtics looked like they were going to lose for the first time in the season, as Marcus Williams looked so much like Gilbert Arenas in the 3rd Quarter, reducing a 20 point lead to 8. But roles were reversed one more time when Gilbert Arenas heard during a timeout from a teammate,"Man, He's playing almost exactly like you right now!" After that timeout, Gilbert Arenas started a barrage of scoring with 14 in the last 6 minutes of the game. Etan Thomas also took some late game charges. Said Coach Rivers,"He's quickly become a fan favorite here in Boston. He's Playing like a mini-ben wallace, playing the game the blue-collar way. The Celtics starting frontcourt were outplayed, mainly because Gasol only scored 2 points. Gerald Green fell to injury, but was cleared to play in the 4th. Coach Rivers Decided not to play him in fear of aggrevating the injury. He scored 10 before leaving the game. The Blazers frontcourt scored a combined 33 points

CELTICS CRUISE PAST KNICKS 106-83

With what seems to be one of the easiest first month schedules any team has, Boston continues to take advantage. Up by 30 points in the 3rd Quarter, Boston took the opportunity to rest the tired players and give the bench some time. That looked to be a bad move as Marbury and Francis started a highlight reel against poor defensive guards, Raul Lopez and Jim Jackson. A quick timeout was taken, and Arenas was brought back in. Simply put, Marbury+Francis<Arenas as Arenas by himself outscored the duo with 40 against their 37. Arenas dominated the Knicks in what looked like a simple playground game for him. He was perfect from behind the arc with 4-4.

ARENAS REACHES DOWN TO BEAT BOBCATS

Image

It's an overused phrase that I really hate saying but Arenas reached deep down and started playing like a monster in the 4th Quarter scoring 10 points. Charlotte seemt to be the first team to beat Boston this year, but It wasn't meant to be. They led the Celtics into the 4th Quarter after a beautiful 15-4 run in the 3rd up by 10, both Morrison and Felton played well in that run with 5 and 8 respectively. Gasol played a good part breaking the run and helping keep in pace with the Bobcats in the last minutes of the quarter with a solid defensive presence after sitting out early 3rd Quarter. In the 4th Quarter, the crowd was suddenly quiet as Arenas made a move similar to what he pulled against the Cavaliers earlier. A quick crossover, stepback - Swish. It didn't win them the game as it was performed with 3 minutes in the game, but it sparked a 17-0 run with Gerald Green and Pau Gasol scoring mainly.

3PK, yes I am still undefeated :headbang:

Scoop, I've had the thought of putting the main pics on the post , and putting the plays with less magnitude on links. as for the losing, I don't think I have anything to worry about until the Suns :D

and with no relation to the dynasty at all, :hump: , just wanted to use that smiley :D

EDIT: found out that I had a reason to use that smiley as this is my 50th post :hump:

ARENAS MAKES HISTORY IN REMATCH VERSUS KNICKS

Image

He was playing so well that he didn't even know what he did. Arenas joined the likes of David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Alvin Robertson and Nate Thurmond as the only 5 men to have made Quadruple double. He completed it with a rebound in the last minute of the game. The Knicks seemt to have started to catch up with, but Because of his performance, other players started to step up as well. Wally Szczerbiak shot for 26 points while Granger and Johnson had 17&16. All three contributed for a 13-0 run early 4th Quarter. Marbury had 33 points in the game. Quote Gilbert Arenas after the game, "DAMN!"

Amazing game by Arenas. He rocks, doesn't he? ;)

But i think you should lessen your Steal slider.

Cause he's averaging, what? - 7 steals per game?

But i like this dynasty a lot. Arenas has a good chance for MVP.

And what's your record?

You should resize your pics. Maybe 500x300 with this setting :

[PIC]

Or 400x280 with his one :

Arenas for MVP and all the best of luck!

The pictures could use some definite cropping/re-sizing and your stealing sliders should really be adjusted... But I like the fact that Dermarr Johnson has been playing well lately, he's one of my favourite players.

Hopefully Green can get some playing time as well.

-km-, Its_asdf, I'll take the sliders suggestion so that results will be more realistic, what is a good number for steals, and about the picture size, I'll do that to.

Any way, about Arenas, he's become like Kobe Bryant in game where he's so good that you can't help abuse the strength :D and i'm 12-0 at the moment. as for Dermarr Johnson, he does alot of things for my team, stand in front of inbounders, shoot 3's and a mean middle jumper.

Carmine_3, that did happen, but the team has had a chance to bond, so the chemistry is somewhere about high 80% as it looks

CELTICS CONTINUE STREAK AGAINST BUCKS

Image

The Celtics knew that Arenas was not going to be at the top of his game after the quad-doub. They knew someone was going to have to step up tonight. They didn't know that 3 people would take the challenge. Pau Gasol had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Celtics to a 20 point lead against the Bucks at halftime. He scored 6 straight points before being called to rest until the 4th Quarter. Dermarr Johnson took over from there, slashing into the paint getting lay-ups, and doing a nice job of breaking defenders for long two's. Danny Granger also had a good game alongside Pau Gasol with 17 points 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Michael Redd struggled scoring only 10 points, while Bobby Simmons did well with 22.

3PK, I don't think i can actually go undefeated, espescially without West to back up Arenas, I've only faced 3 teams above .500 at this moment
