That is very surprising, I know he is good and all but I don't think he is Madden worthy. Sports video-games these days do have a tendency to look toward young athletes to grace the cover. I think that was a wrong move on his part because after such a miraculous rookie campaign it will be hard to accomplish his new and higher expectations. Being on the cover of Madden just insures that he won't live up to his expectations this season.

Congrats to Vince Young, he'll probably pull off a Michael Vick in the preseason because of the Madden Cover "Curse"

Same here, I was expecting Ladainian Tomlinson as well, but ah well.

Oh god, please don't let them add any features that make the running QBs even more impossible to stop than they currently are. I'll write a petition.

LT was going to be on the cover but supposedly the San Diego fans held a rally for Tomlinson not to be on the cover because of the curse. I think that was a smart move. The "Madden Curse" is really kind of freaky.

Oh, he's fucked! Just kidding. In that article said that he already "broke" the SI cover curse.

It had to be someone young, Peyton is too old to be on it. Young had a great year, and Im sure he'll finally break the Madden Curse.

It's happened to everyone except Eddie George, and you can even make a case for him as well. I'm not superstitious but I still wouldn't dare predict that the curse will be broken.

Remember he had a costly fumble in the playoffs that year and then never played the same.

Speaking of Vince Young and Madden, check out the graphics in this first look of Madden 08.

It looks like EA has fixed up there football graphics. The players aren't all gorilla looking and huge. I'm kind of pumped for this, well I always am. I hope there NBA Live first look is as clean as this one.

Hm... Looks good. The graphics look a lot more realistic.... Though a 2nd year player as the cover.. wow.

i definately wouldnt count out that he will break the curse. anything could happen, espacially to a QB that likes to scramble. remember michael vick when he was on the cover??

Yeah he broke his damn leg in the preseason that year didnt he?

Anyway, Odd choice of Vince Young...it seems as if they're basing their choices on popularity rather than skill. I would've thought peyton or LT but apparentlly not. I think they should go back to having madden on the cover with players and not just one or the other....

Wow, I haven't watched Vince Young play since that awesome game against USC that he won basically by himself. Congratulations, but damn, I hope it doesn't happen to him.

I only caught a few games this season, was Vince really impressive?

He was better then really impressive. Single handedly beat the Colts one week.

I'm so glad he's on the cover. That means Tennesse shouldn't continue to improve this year and be a thorn in our side.

Haha yeah Indy. The Titans are our (Colts) only competition in the AFC South. I'm not going to say I hope Vince breaks his leg but I wouldn't mind if he got a few concussions or led the league in interceptions. This should make the Colts way to the best record in the NFL a lot easier.
