Hey all, found this Live 08 article on IGN. Seems to be just a lot of lip service but who knows, it is only 20% done according to the article.

Hmmm interesting. . .I expect them to fix al the issues from last year, but I'm curios about the new stuff. . no mentioning of All-Star weekend, so that may be out, THANK GOD lol!!

I reallyhope they put a lot of emphasis on Defence, mainly positioning cause it seems like its gonna be easy to score in this one, and atleast they are trying to make a smart game. . more post moves and I'll be happy

You don't think the All-Star Weekend should be included?

As I've said beore, there's no reason for us to worry there. Until we hear otherwise we can expect NBA Live 08 to be released for the Current Gen platforms, including a PC version.

I hope they update the PC version. Graphics have not changed much since 2005. I'm not expecting Windows Vista DX10 or anything just new/better graphics. I'm not pre-ordering it this year also. :)

We don't need movies, new animations, new look and all same shit like bad gameplay. they need to improve gameplay, they need to add variations., i think it will be the same like 07 a typical bug game but still i hope they will surprise us and deliver much better game then last year.
Kobe ftw

Uhhmm, if i cant go wrong 08 would be nice or a lot nicer, and for sure it won't be a DX10 game yet.. If it could be, EA could be like Microsoft!!! :x

Me neither, I'll believe it when I see it. After the massive fraud and outright theft that was perpetrated last year with a shitty product, I'm not buying it!

I dont know,EA was talking about NBA Live 07 that the game will have more improvement than 06,but when I saw Live 07,it was the same game like 06,also with bugs and crapy gameplay,I am praying for god that NBA Live 08 would be the best NBA game ever :D

I hope they keep this current graphics scheme and not port the Next Gen ones. If they do, it's the end of us all.

All they need to do for the Current Gen is to fix the gameplay.

Why is it the end of us? I'm praying that they move to new gen although I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, all of that really sounds familiar... :?
I'm pretty sure EA will do a much better job for the next-gen versions this time around, but I really don't think we'll see a vast improvement for the PC version, once again. There probably won't be the substitution bug and the PG domination, but that's pretty much it...
The more I play Live'07, the more I get bored with it and I realize its weaknesses, besides the obvious bugs and issues that were mostly fixed with the patch. I'm really disappointed with the physics, the AI and the visuals, and I don't think Live '08 will change any of that unfortunately...

Funny, seeing as this is a virtual basketball game that now all of a sudden it seems you decide to focus on the 5 on 5 part of the game. What the hell does that mean, shouldn't you have been focusing on that in the first place? I've defended Live for years but there truly "seems" to be an arrogance from EA when they are on top, I loved when 2K gives them a run in the area of b ball but to make the game of basketball's 5 on 5 secondary is totally absurd. I truly hope EA puts things in proper priority because I was converting to 2K this year because I enjoyed what 2K7 had to offer. I just want basic expectations for a basketball game to be met, all additional "features & bonuses" can wait once you get you core game solid, not perfect but solid. I look forward to see what is actually going to be done this season and what is going to be deleted and what in this article "may" turn out to be lies.
