Interview w/ Head Coach Trevor Foreman
WC= Wovles Claw
TF= Trevor Foreman
WC: Welcome Coach
TF: Hello, great to be here.
WC: First off, congradulations on the 12-0 start.
TF: Thank you very much
WC: Most NBA critics said you wouldn't last very long and that you didn't have what it takes to make it in the NBA as a Coach. What has brought upon you this fantastic start?
TF: I knew about all that talk about me getting a favor, but just ignored all the negative words that were said my way, but I think the truth is in the back of everyones head is that criticism. I just practiced the guys hard and we play a run n gun offense, you get an open shot, you take it. Although we do start the game off with feedin KG in the first quarter, but after that we definately run n gun. Although we are 12-0 I think we could use some improvement that for sure, these next two weeks are gonna take a toll on us, we get through this week we can get through anything.
WC: On that subject, who is gonna be your toughest opponent?
TF: Well all the teams are capable of damage. The Rockets have great playmakers as does the Nuggets, where the Bulls and Jazz have great size. Then there is the Mavericks who are just a great team period. We need are role players to come throught and our star players to exceed all expectations.
WC: Have the trades GM Casey Lee made so far this season helped?
TF: Tremendously, the trades added all sorts of positive skills, like leadership, youth, range, defense, and potential. Cassell has been huge in being a veteran leader and Smush is playing phenomenal. Also, Bynum and Singleton are showing great potential and Thomas has come though with very timeley threes so far. Then there is of course Radmonovic, who is, in my mind, definatley in the race for the 6th man Award.
WC: Well coach, we thank you for your time you gave us and good luck this season.
TF: Thank you for having me.
