a suggestion to the NLSC forum[What does the NLSC need?]

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

a suggestion to the NLSC forum[What does the NLSC need?]

Postby Fluffy Taco on Tue Apr 17, 2007 7:20 pm

i didnt want to bump a thread that was like several months old, so i just made a new thread to kinda contribute to it i guess
since most people around this forum have a problem of always double-or even triple-posting, i think we should have some kinda automerging double posting thing so that way whenever people try to make another quick reply, itll just add to the last post youve made and after someone else posts, it just creates a new post. how about that, yea? i think itll help people from double-posting  i just got that idea from a different site not nba-live related, but cellular modding stuff. wont give the site out since this is something about NLSC and not cellular mods. but just an idea i would like to bring up and thought it would be practical to us as a community

Do they use a phpBB forum? If yes, what is the mod added called?

Interesting suggestion. Would make life a little easier I guess.

What about certain Dynasty stories that have seperate posts in sucsession to organize info? Maybe no posts in between seperate updates?

That's my problem once, if I hit the "Submit" button twice accidentally, I'll have a double post.

Would probably be an issue of timing. Maybe limited to posts made in a period of 10 seconds in the same thread. That would remove its effectiveness to dynasty's and such.

That's the thing though, a lot of people who double and triple post rather than editing the original post do it a few minutes apart. If it's practical (ie there's a phpBB mod for it) then it's something to be considered I guess but right now I don't think it's really necessary.

That board is running vBulletin software, it might not be possible with phpBB.
