Nice graphics, but why put it in New York City again, they should have picked a new local

Personally, I have no problem with the use of "Liberty City" again. The entire GTA series has revolved around the same three locations and this being the tenth anniversary of the franchise, it's somewhat appropriate in my opinion.

Look forward to more things in the future. Take Two already copyrighted the names of GTA:Tokyo and GTA:Bogata. Bogata is set in Columbia, the Cartels and whatnot.
But as Andrew said, I definitely agree that it should be Liberty City again. It was GTA3 that practically put Rockstar on the map, blown the series to become the superstar of action games that GTA is right now, so to pay homage to that and set the place as Liberty City again would be only appropriate.

I agree too. LC is where it all started.
I wondering what the layout's going to be. I'm guessing they'll totally revamp GTAIII Liberty City. It'll be the five boroughs of NY with elements from the 2001 LC.

I'm sure most people have seen this already but I found it interesting that
New York officials are upset that GTA IV's Liberty City will as usual draw some inspiration from the city. I can understand their objections of course but this will be the fourth game that features Liberty City; I'm pretty sure everyone was aware of the real city it was supposed to represent since day one, so these objections seem to be coming ten years too late.

Russian character?? intersting...Liberty is a good city with the whole Mafia thing going on, plus the triads, GTA:III was probably my favourite GTA storyline wise, so if this is gonna be similar then i cant wait.
Sun Apr 08, 2007 5:25 pm
yeah a russian character is a bit different.....
does anyone know if it is being released on ps2?? or only next gen consoles??
Sun Apr 08, 2007 11:45 pm
only next-gen
Mon Apr 09, 2007 10:55 am
oh that is too bad. i will have to try and get a PS3
Sat Apr 14, 2007 11:05 am
wow, just played some 2 player San Andreas and it kinda blew my mind...again.
The kid I was playing with never saw anything past Los Santos, so I took him for a little tour with the dodo. Then for some reason we both bailed and lived after the fall. Then proceeded to piss off the cops and have a good shoot out with them (we hit a couple hot dog stands for health). Then got on a dirtbike and hit one of those ramp trucks and landed on a roof of a house near Venturas. We took out a couple heli's with the assault rifles and had some fun with the sachel charges. In all we played a good 45 minutes to an hour without dying, very very fun.

They finally got us when I decided to raid Area 69 and steal a heli. Damn missles took us down.

lol that sounds like fun JaoSming. wish i had that game on PC so i could play online. i only have it on PS2
Sat Apr 14, 2007 2:19 pm
Heh, so I was mucking around on VC...and I was like...why don't I try making a shirt using one of the amazing jerseys made on NLSC for simple personal use, without actually releasing it?
So I pull out FshX, export one of the jerseys (i.e. Arget's nice-looking NBA Live 05 Dallas home), resize only the jersey (not the shorts) so it fits into the skin file for GTA VC, copy it in, and...it looks not so good. Well, obviously since it IS a completely different game. I need to edit another file to get the proper jersey look, not a t-shirt...

Um, 2 player is only on PS2

although there is a mod for online play on the PC the 2 player PS2 gameplay I think is a lot more fun.

I just beat GTA:SA again
Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:10 am
You want a medal with that?
Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:23 am
San Andreas is really pissing me off now... I have 48/50 horseshoes, but the ones that are suppose to show up at the airport in Las Venturas are not showing up... and I am on like 98.33% or something in Gang terrorities, but there are none left...
I've heard that due to cheats there may be glitches or whatnot, but I haven't inputted any.
I may consider repurchasing GTA: III and Vice City again, they look like fun... again.
Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:26 am
You want a medal with that?
And some fries. Thank you.
I have 98/100 horseshoes
But there are only 50 horseshoes. Maybe you're confusing it with the graffitis...or maybe I'm confused

I didn't quite like the look of VCS. I think the script was a bit sub-par compared to the previous ones. And I never could be bothered to empire-build. LCS was a nice game though.
VC still the best in my opinion
Mon Apr 16, 2007 7:46 am
No comparison to San Andreas to me, flying, the size of the map, weapons, best missions, how it ties the games together... the list is endless.

Jing, there's one gang left - the Vagos gang at Bayside Marina, a long way from Los Santos. If you look at the map carefully, you'll see a FAINT yellow square at Bayside. I went through the same thing first time I played SA.
