The Beginning of a Dynasty

After an unlucky season full of injuries, the Cavaliers hit the jackpot and
are the new owners of the all valuable 1st pick. Danny Ferry was hit with
the decision to either go with the more polished Kevin Durant or a more
raw, but full of potential in Greg "Big G" Oden. When it was time to pick,
Greg Oden was the clear choice to stand with LeBron on the court.

Significant Off-Season Movements

Kevin Durant - Drafted by Charlotte Bobcats
Drew Gooden - Signed by Boston Celtics
Juan Carlos Navarro - Signed by Cleveland Cavaliers
Andres Nocioni - Signed by Charlotte Bobcats
Luke Ridnour - Signed by New Jersey Nets

did u trade your draft picks to a crap team for theirs? cos i just dont know how the cavs can finish bottom 5 in the 06-07 season, it is almost impossible.

but anyway, i like the name of your dynasty. "Adventures of the King and the Beast" (Y) and i think Oden looks good in a cavs jersey

good luck with this (Y)

Great concept! Must have been some very major injuries though. Was there a SARS outbreak at the teams training facility or something?

Oden in the Cavs look good, and the title you have given for this dynasty is really creative and good. Overall I love the concept of it. :)

ESPN News

After a process of decision making, Greg Oden stood as the #1 pick and
wasn't overtaken by the young scoring phenom from Texas. Was this a the
correct choice? It's kind of hard to tell since both players have unimaginable
potential to be great, no not just great, but hall of fame great. You can't go
wrong with either.

Chad Ford: Who do you think will win rookie of the year?

Chris Sheridan: I'd put my money on Kevin Durant just because he's
in a better position in Charlotte where he'll dominate the ball as the number
one scoring option.

Chad Ford: Really? My pick has to go with Greg Oden. LeBron will most
likely still remain as the primary scorer, so Odens point totals will take
a hit, but this man plays both ends of the court. He'll bring blocks, steals,
and will grab rebounds.

Chris Sheridan: But when it's all said and done the Bobcats are
going to make the playoffs because of Durant and the Cavaliers are
going to make the playoffs because of LeBron James and not Greg Oden.

Chad Ford: Good point.

Projected Stats

Kevin Durant - 23/7/3/1/1
Greg Oden - 16/10/2/2/2

AWSUM dynasty m8 (Y) IMO Oden will Win R.O.Y becuase he has the defensive edge and on offence the attention will b on LeBron so he won't b doubled in the post and i don't think that LeBrons numbers will drop because Oden will just give him another weapon to work with.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Image

vs. Phoenix
Cleveland
Phoenix
Gamebreaker of the Night: Greg Oden

Recap: The Cavaliers enter the game with a 2 game winning streak
and are ready to defend their unbeaten record. Phoenix jumped out of the
gates on fire. The "Brazillian Blur" was unstoppable on the fast break.
Larry Hughes got into major foul trouble trying to stop him. It's a good
thing for the Cavaliers that the Suns don't play much defense and left the
door ajar. The Cavaliers came out running from the half
time break. Greg Oden broke out of his rookie shell and dominated the
paint and then ran the length of the court and got significant stops down
the stretch. The King and The Beast were too much for the Suns and
failed to maintain their lead.

Rookie Watch Week 1:

1. Greg Oden - 23/10/1/0/3
2. Kevin Durant - 17/7/2/1/1
3. Julian Wright - 10/4/5/1/0
4. Juan Carlos Navarro - 9/2/4/1/0
5. Tiago Splitter - 9/5/0/0/1

GAME OF THE WEEK

Image

@ Miami
Cleveland
Miami
Gamebreaker of the Night: LeBron James

Recap: The game is the first of a back to back and a battle for
power for the east. Miami have been falling off the map lately and aren't
even penciled in for the top 3 in the east. Lets not forget that they still
have one of the best guards in the league. This game was really close
and a real battle between 2 of the big 4 from the 03 Draft. Every time
any team got a lead the other team would match the point total in a couple
possessions. Went down to the wire with a minute left in the 4th, the score
was 91-91, Wade pushes the ball up the court and drops it down to Shaq
for it seemed to be an easy slam BUT the very quite Greg Oden makes a
statement and blocks the big man and recovers the ball. LeBron receives
the ball and dishes it to Hughes for a 3 and that pretty much iced the
game. Really exciting game, even though it was penciled in as a Wade vs.
James match-up but Greg Oden stole the show with that historical block
on Shaq.

Rookie Watch Week 2:

1. Greg Oden - 22/8/1/1/1
2. Kevin Durant - 19/7/3/1/1
3. Julian Wright - 13/5/5/1/0
4. Juan Carlos Navarro - 9/2/6/1/0
5. Tiago Splitter - 10/6/0/0/1
