MOst Boring Season/injury plagued season!!!

For me this NBA season has become one of the most boring season of all time. Ive never seen so many starters get injured... let me rephrase... ive never seen so many allstar and superstar players get injured. besides the success of the top 4 teams in the NBA, the majority of the rest of the teams in the league have played without their star player for a big chunk of the season.

i just wana see what you guys think of this

A few big names have missed a significant amount of games this year and it's a shame to see them sitting on the sidelines but I wouldn't say it's been a boring season.

The Mavericks are still in the hunt to become just the second team to win 70 games while the Suns and Spurs are battling it out for second place in the West. Kobe's gone off for multiple 50 point games including four in a row, AI get traded after on and off speculation through the years, the continued emergence of young players like Dwight Howard and the successful comeback of Amare Stoudemire to name only a few noteworthy stories this season. There's been some notable games as well, such as the Mavs/Suns double OT game which became an instant classic.

I wouldn't deem it to be the most exciting or memorable season in NBA history either but for me at least it hasn't been boring. You'd be hard pressed to find a season (in recent memory at least) that didn't see at least a couple of star players miss a significant amount of games due to injury.

it's probably,partly, because the NBA decreased the # of 2-a-days in training camp thus the players didnt have enough time to adequately prepare.

As long as the ECF, WCF & NBA Finals has it's full cast of players then i won't complain.

I think we can only look forward to the WCF because we know that the ECF is basically a non-factor having possibly the worst Eastern Conference selection of teams in a long time. I don't think it hasn't been a boring season but in comparison with others it is not as good. But to call an NBA season boring would be stupid. I think a lot of David Stern's new rules may be a factor because it has taken a lot of freedom, if you like, from the game.

I also feel like there was abnormal amount of injuries...every Bulls game i went to the opposing team had one of their key guys out...the Sonics were actually fielding players i've never even heard of.

The rookie class wasn't as good as i hoped. Brandon delivered, but do you remember the hype around Morrison? Where's my 2007 Larry Bird? And i vivdly remember the NBA draft show where 2 experts called Tyrus Thomas "The Next Amare Stoudemire".


My biggest surprises of the season:
1. Miami Heat, even pre Wade injury
2. A superstar trade rumor actually happened, Iverson was moved
3. weak rookie class (spoiled by 2003, i know)
4. Jazz emerging as a legit contender, and AK isn't really a factor
5. Multiple teams tanking for the draft

i completely agree, this years draft ended up being pretty weak, roys proven himself, and even rudy gays playing really well, but alot of expectations havent been met from other rookies. bargnani has been a bit of a bust so far and i thought tyrus thomas would have a great season too, which he hasnt so far

in the last few weeks LaMarcus Aldridge has been probably in the top 2 or 3 rookies in the league. has had a few double-doubles. and on nba.com is now ranked 4th in the rookie rankings. i believe he has a big future ahead of him, and i think a lot of the rookies have a bright future. not the greatest rookie class, but i still think it is good. they havent performed very well this season, but give them a couple of years and a lot of thei year's rookies will be "champions"

Tanking Analysis: We're keeping our best players out to increase our chances of losing the game.

Non-Tanking Analysis: We have no chance of making the playoffs so we're giving our bench guys some extra experience for the upcoming season.

I think we can only look forward to the WCF because we know that the ECF is basically a non-factor having possibly the worst Eastern Conference selection of teams in a long time.

We seem say that every year though, yet two of the last three champions have come out of the East. I wouldn't disagree that the most likely champions will be coming out of the West this year but I wouldn't call the ECF a non-factor nor would I consider the NBA Finals strictly a formality at this point.
