I think we may have talked about this before...it's hard to apply a good stat to TT minutes because he gets played in garbage time when the Bulls have blown out their opponent. If the Bulls are losing generally the starters & vets are in there til the end or last 2 min.
I think the Pistons were undefeated when Darko scored...for similar reasons =P
Not to diss TT, he's athletic & a hustler, i just thought #2 was a quite high for him.

I find myself becoming more of a Tyrus Thomas fanboy every time he plays. I only just noticed that he's featured in nearly all of my Bulls thread posts over the last couple of weeks. So i will just get this bit of gushing out and try to move on:
Over his last 4 games, he's averaged 15.3 points, 8.5 boards, while shooting .589 from the field. The argument could be made that he does most of his damage against the opposition's second units. But his aggressiveness and explosiveness is something which is so rare for a rookie to possess, that i can only think with more court time, more experience and more work on his shot, he is going to be a very, very special player in this league.
I guess you could say this for a few teams in the league but if not for a few unfortunate losses here and there, the Bulls could have at least 50 wins at this point. They've lost a handful of very winnable games this season from big leads that were squandered to last second shots that decided the contest. It's great to see them step up to the challenge and get the job done in games such as this one, even when the usual gameplan has to be thrown out the window. This was a big win for them.

But obviously hindsight is 20-20, and injuries will always be a part of the game.
Hinrich_12 wrote:As for the ejection, the reason i was happy, was that he managed to goad a championship-winning veteran into getting thrown out of a regular season game. Imagine if he was able to do that to Rip in the first quarter of a Chicago-Detroit Conference finals Game 7.
I just love his enthusiasm for the game and his willingness to put himself out there, without giving a damn about the consequences.

Also, I know I've griped about the quality of NBA Action compared to the 90s (especially since Jim Fagan left) but it's a bit disappointing they haven't profiled the Bulls more often, especially in the latest episode. They've focused on the same teams - especially the Nets and the Wizards in the East - a few too many times, in my opinion. I guess it doesn't matter all that much because I usually find a way to see the games or a few highlights but it'd be nice all the same.
