The Get To Know You Thread

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I don't even think Jesus could save him from that.

Is there anyway to throw fruit at people with poor music taste over the forum? I must ask Andrew

Its the ulitmate crossover...this is so genius even MTV couldnt manufacture it....we take all the bands in Rock Dudes sig, and cross them over with all the rappers Ruff tried to get people into....WE'LL MAKE TENS OF DOLLARS GUYS, we could make our own NBA Live!!!

Rock Dude, remove Weezer and Foo Fighters from your sig unless you have listened to albums that arent Make Believe or In Your Honor both suck....grab the blue album and the colour and the shape and get back to me :headbang:

Weezer's blue album is one of my all-time favourites (y).

And i developed a weird superstition about Make Believe. Whenever i listened to it on the way to one of my soccer games, our team won. So i was torn between winning games and listening to that crap.

Losing games won out...

I am a big Weezer fan though.

EDIT: Did 3 doors down ever do anything besides that stupid Kryptonite song?

I don't mind them, they aren't the sort of band I'd make an effort to listen to but if one of their songs came on the radio I could quite happily listen to it, unlike 99.9% of the garbage being played.

In particular...

Beyonce - God what a retard, she does so many shit songs written by someone else and with beats by whoever, all she does is sing yet she wants herself to be seen as a "legend in the making"... fuck off, the songs are all boring and people only buy them because of her name.

Nelly Retardo - Funny how she went from legit artist to Timbaland ball licker in the space of a few years. Sell out.

Pink - Her songs are shit these days, she thinks she's Janis Joplin reincarnated but is closer to being Britney Spears. Ugly shit-head pretending to be something she's not.

Christina Aguilera - Give up.

Gwen Stefani - No Doubt were such a respectable band, now she just releases trash that makes no sense. I'm sure alot of people find it "creative" but the music blows.

Fergie - As above.

I also have problems with Evermore, Akon (wtf is up with that?), Girls Aloud/Sugababes version of "Walk This Way", Panic! At The Disco, TV Rock, "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" etc.

Mini rant there but fuck mainstream music blows these days.

Hah good post there ^ I lost my faith in radio music 8 years ago... It's the same system in music industry these days. You got 10 people / groups who compose or make the beats, everything else will be bought from somewhere else. No creativity.

Holy shit. I didnt even see Lifehouse there. Hahahaha. You've got the ultimate Wuss rock/Crap rock/Christian rock anthology in some of those bands there. Just wondering where Creed is.

No it's not. And the fact you don't know the difference makes my soul eternally pure in comparison, and it will continue to be that way until you learn.

I like 3 Doors Down, but especially their newer album, Seventeen Days. They got away from the hard metal stuff and do a lot of ballad-type songs now, really good stuff.

Rock_Dude98, do you listen to old rock too? Anything old is better than most of the bands in your sig.

Modern stuff isn't even true rock, it's a bunch of hybrids. It's been contaminated by emo music. :P

Neither am I, but it doesn't matter, I still like it. I barely know any of the new bands nowadays cause I don't listen to many of them.
