Latest Roster [Andrews 07 V1.04] Released

Hey everyone, I got great news for all NBA Live 2005 players.

I spoke with Ryan and he managed to work through the bugs and convert an 07 roster to work in 05. The converted roster is Andrews latest roster for Live 07, uninjured.

Andrew has been the main roster patcher for the NBA Live series for years now, so you know this patch has been made with the best quality and effort by the webmaster himself.

All credit to Andrew and a huge thanks to Ryan for converting the roster.

Information about this roster:

- 2006/2007 Season Rosters (accurate as of 17/03/07, Including Coaches)
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Some skintones corrected
- All Star Teams updated
- Rookie/Soph teams updated
- Works in Dynasty mode

There may be a few problems to do with Player Packages but they are easy to solve once we find them.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Place the "NLSC 06-07" roster folder into your saves folder

2) Download lookvod's Real Shoe Patch V 5.0 from here (this prevents pink shoes)

3) Install the patch by running the Setup.exe. Once it has completed, there will be a folder in your EA Sports folder called "NBA Live 07". Open it and then open "SGSM"

4) Copy all files in here and paste them into your NBA Live 2005 SGSM

5) Go back into the folder where the setup files are for lookvods Real Shoe Patch

6) Go into the folder named "Accurate"

7) Go into the folder named "Accurate07 Patch for All", then copy and paste al files inside the folder to the "NLSC 06-07" roster folder

8) Run "Accurate07.bat"

9) Do the same again, this time using the files from the "Accurate07 patch for EA missing player based on NLSC"

10) The install is complete


NOTE: When you see cutscenes or enter instant replay mode, you will notice the reflections of players shoes will be pink. I am not sure how to fix this, but if reflection shoe files for 07 and 05 are different, it would best be left alone. Otherwise I would have to edit each reflection file for the 100's upon 100's of shoes included in the patch. I would rather not seriously edit a patch like this unless I had permission, but even so I don't have the time. I believe you guys can live with it.

NOTE: I believe I have an idea for fixing the reflection problems. I'll look into it. Also, I updated the teamgear.dbf to set all the current jerseys to 06-07.

I understand that this roster will eventualy be outdated, and since I don't want to be asking Ryan to convert the roster each time it is released, I will speak to Andrew and see if it is possible to add players like Randolph Morris who aren't in the current version and import his ratings from his 07 version instead of re-converting it all over again. Even if I can't, we are lucky enough to have the roster in the first place, so I am all good with it.

Please list players who have pink heads so I can change the player packages so they work properly. The reason why each team is rated 99 I beleive is because the ratings in 07 are higher than 05. The team ratings don't ean anything anyway, because I have tested around 20 different seasons, and 99% of the time the teams at the top of the standings are ones like Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio and Detroit.

I found out the problem with the shoe reflection files. The reflection of the shoe (eg. shoe123r.fsh) in 07 is a seperate fsh file. In 05, the reflection and the shoe itself are held in the same fsh file. The way to fix that would be to use an 05 shoe file, and import the 07 art. Personally I don't think it's that big of a deal, and it would take quite a while to fix up that many shoes. If someone wants to do it though, ask for permission from lookvod and once you get the green light, go right ahead.

One problem I noticed with the roster was that because of the 07 PG problem, he may have lowered the fatigue ratings of all the point guards. They fatigue alot quicker than other players so this could become a problem. I will ask him if this can be edited, otherwise just open up DB commander and open up the players dbf, then bump up the fatigue ratings of all the point guards (I suggest all the starters, that should be enough) by 10 or so points.

EDIT: RSox just told me the reason team ratings are so high is because in 05 ratingsare done on a 0-99 scale and in 07 they are on a 50-99 scale.

- In regards to the missing faces on the Legends teams, I'm using Glen's retro faces for guys like Shaq and Grant Hill, thus they have different PLAYERPKGs (eg SHONEA0 instead of SHONEAL), so you can either use the necessary art or simply change the PLAYERPKGs for the afflicted players.

- I did lower all Fatigue ratings to account for the Fatigue issues in NBA Live 07, though I didn't make any further adjustments for point guards. Even so, those ratings probably won't be appropriate for NBA Live 2005 (which of course has a Fatigue Effect slider).

- Ratings in NBA Live 07 use a 1-99 scale, the same as NBA Live 06.

Andrew, if its ok with you, would I be able to import your ratings when you bring out a next version into this and release it for those that have minimal experience in DBF editing but want to stay up to date? The conversion process is quite a tedious job and this way would be much quicker. If thats cool with you it would be great. Also, if I could add the newly added players that may be signed (eg Randolph Morris) then copy all the data over from your 07 version, that would be awesome. Sorry for all the questions, I just wanna ask before I do something.

By the way everyone, I forgot to add Andrews coaches dbf and accidently left the default in the roster. Download this coaches dbf file and replace the one in the NLSC06-07 roster with it, then chuck this Larry Krystkowiak cyberface into your coach folder in your SGSM.

how can i fix faces in 90's like shaq and payton? i changed plyrpkg and problem still exists. need help pls? i did the same with few others like penny and hill and that worked, iono why it didnt work for them 2 shaq and payton

Download Glens legend cyberfaces, just remember to either:

A) Convert the headshape.

or

B) If the file does not come with a headshape, extract the default 05 one and use that.

I changed the PLAYERPKG for players like Shaq and Payton because I'm using Glen's retro faces for those players; by assigning a new PLAYERPKG (SHONEA0 for example) the patch is able to utilise the retro art for the players on the Legends rosters while loading their current appearance in the current rosters.

You can fix that by changing the PLAYERPKGs back to their original values but I recommend downloading the art update because Glen's retro faces are awesome. As Shannon said you'll need to make sure you convert the headshape or grab the default shapes for those players from NBA Live 2005.
