After getting my w810i, I really think there's nothing better than that...
It's basically a media player + camera + wap + messaging + games + applications + a telephone. The sound quality is amazing and it has a shufle function too! The capacity is actually set by yourself, which depends on the memory stick.. 2GB is enough for me, I always wonder why people want to put their entire music library onto their device... You won't listen to them all!

After using MD players, then my PSP as mp3 players, I decided to give the iPod Nano a try. Needless to say, I'm somewhat satisfied. I really like the size of the Nano.. but iTunes is annoying as hell. I absolutely hate it. Going from PSP's simple drag and drop system to iTune's mess was hard at first, but I've figured it out. I'm thinking of trying out Sony's sports mp3 player.. I don't really know the name, but it's like a stick basically, really cool imo. (y)

I think its a matter of opinion. Personally I like iTunes and think it is a very organized program and does everything I need it to for my media. I guess Im one of the few that like it

Another plus feature of the W810i is that it can function as a standalone player aswell. Meaning you can use it during flight descents & takeoff's since when it's on it's mediaplayer only option, there are no radio wave signal interfering.

I don't know if you travel a lot, but for people who get out of the country atleast twice a year (my sister) it's ideal.

i did my research
I got an Creative Zen Vision M after using my phone as an mp3 player for a while. It was great...2gig card and all, but at the end of the day, the battery life was somewhat problematic if I went on mp3 for say 4,5hrs in a day.

iPod... it pisses me off when people don't know its just anther mp3 player, but it isn't a bad product. Its that damn click wheel thing that really makes it great. It's a very good way to control it. The ultra slim design (just like the motorola rzar...ppl went rzar crazy for a while) is an added bonus. Also MAC compatibility for anyone who uses a mac is great. Many are just XP only. Then also all the accessories out there is also a nice thing.

The downfall of iPod is the whole iTunes crap they try force you to use (but there is alternatives out there), the fact they overprice it thanks to all the idiots out there, and also feature cut short it. (once again, because people buy on name and don't care whats inside). Its still loaded with many great features though.

Zune...sounds great...but the maker..micro$oft, i've had enough of those products already.

http://dapreview.net/zune_vs_ipod_vs_zvm.html had a pretty fair comparison of those 3 mp3 players (ipod video, zune, zen vision m) all in the same market.

any one who just wants anything but ipod.. well http://www.anythingbutipod.com/ might help you a bit.

Does anyone have the Samsung K5? I'm thinking about getting one but I wanna get some opinions on it before I do. I've had 2 I Pods that both went to waste so I'm trying to avoid those as much as possible. They are basically made to fall apart within 2 years so you have to buy another one. No thanks.

Yeah I noticed that feature too, since the first startup.. It asks whether you want to start the phone or just the walkman... This phone is just amazing. Everybody, buy the W Series!
I do travel a lot, more than 4 times per year... But I usually spend my time taking videos during takeoff and landing.

I just ordered the iAudio X5L. Can't wait. 30 GB and something like 35 hours of battery life, color screen, and 15 FPS video playback.
