yea i got it!!! it is really fun. my favorite part is the mini camp drills. i think that is funner than than the games. madden and live both have the same problem. if you put the quarter length on the real lenght as its used in the real games you have waaaaaaayyyyyyyy to many points.

owner mode is great.........im in week 8 and i have turned a profit :D
playmaker is great, u just have 2 learn how 2 use it, if you try and use it in every situation than your finished.

Im sure you kno how 2 use it before the snap, it just changes the main recievers rout.

offense after snap.........i use it mostly when im being blitzed or on curl plays. when im bein blitzed and i roll out i need my recievers coming 2 me or call them back. Lets say i roll right and i have 3 recievers 2 on the right and i sent them down field i call them back. Its basically telling your wide recievers where 2 go. Once you get used 2 it ull start using it smarter like me.
I play with the forty niners, and when i have a safety blitzing, i send owens on a curl. except i wont throw him the ball on the curl, the minute he curls the defender will step in front, i then push up on the playmaker and sends him down field with the defensive back trailing.
Thats just an idea of how u can break routes for long gains.

running with play maker is just telling the blocker out in front where 2 block, so if if u have your half back following your fullback you tell him which man 2 block. I use it on kick returns alot, like when i go up the sideline i slow down and call my blocksers 2 the left because the cpu defense runs right doun sideline, i then cut 2 the middle, and depending on my blockers or an opening i may take it all the way.

on defense- you controll your safeties before the snap, so if u have 2 safteies covering a sideline 2 sideline but ther offense has only 2 recievers on the right tap play maker 2 the right so that you have more coverage on the right.

on defense after the snap- if hes running the ball tap down 2 send your safeties and dbacks 2 stop the run, if hes passing push up 2 have more pass coverage.

i hope this helps.

Madden is arguably the best sports game series out there. It has realistic gameplay, great user interface, and lots of useful and fun features. I highly enjoy this game even though I don't really play football.

But I do play a lot of basketball and in my opinion, NBA Live would be very good if they completely copied Madden on everything, except of course the gameplay.

Thanks for the tip rudogg33. Is it advisable to use the ask madden on offense and defense? And what is easy play? does it affect the difficulty level because i play on all madden level.

What I do is edit the players already on the team (you can change their names and some info becuase they are cpu-created players) and change their ratings and such to suit myself. The good thing about this is changing their ratings do not affect their salaries at all as they are already determined.

Or there's obvious option of creating a player and adding him to the team.

Xbox Magazine gave ESPN NFL Football a better score than Madden. Probably because Madden has no online play on the Xbox and ESPN does. It would also be great if Madden had the first player mode and cribs mode that ESPN has...

yea u can edit the already created player but you cant change lots of stuff that you would need to create your own player like the age. they create players that are like 31 and their ratings decrease quickly.

also, i have tried to create a player and add him to the team but it says the roster is full. then when i try to release a player, it says it will put the team under the required number of players.

I believe the minimum requirement is as follows:
3 QB, 3 RB, 1 FB, 6 WR, 4 TE,
2 LE/RE/LG/RG/LT/RT/C/SS/FS/MLB/ROLB/LOLB,
3DT, 6CB, 1 K/P

I'm not very sure so don't quote me on it though.

The thing about minimum requirement is as long as you have enough players for each position and not necessarily the whole team, you'll be fine.

do not ask madden for plays........i reccommend doing football 101 for offense, youll learn about offensive plays here. Mix it up on offense dont just go for long bombs, learn 2 read the defense. establish the run and mix in some short passes, and occasionally go deep depending on there coverage.

defense is tougher 2 learn, but i reccommend learning about each 1, like 3-4, 4-3 are common defenses, but if a team comes out with 3 recievers i recommend nickel, 4,5 recievers dime. Thats just basics.

what team you play with, ill be able 2 help u a little more.

I'm using St.louis Rams in All-Madden level because of their offense. I still have problems on offense and defense. In offense the defense always picks my passes i dont know how to call back a reciever. In defense its hard to predict the play of the opponent. And i'm confused in the punt meter.

If you people want a very realistic game, what you should do is play on Pro. Then change the time per quarter to 10 minutes with accelerated clock.

Then go to the AI settings and you should change the sliders as such:

Code: Select all
QB Accuracy 45 (43)
Pass Blocking 8 (24)
WR Catching 57 (70)
RB Ability 70 (79)
Run Blocking 49 (62)

Awareness 30 (99)
Knockdowns 93 (95)
Interceptions 1
Break Block 28 (95)
Tackling 81

FG Length 45
FG Acc 40 (50)
Punt Length 52 (99)
Punt Acc 12 (70)
Kickoff Length 50

It should be very good playing :)
