We need all the help we can get in making 05 better so if anyone is willing to convert these and update players here it is

You need EAgraph, FSHX, and the skin or tattoo file:

Open the Skin or Tattoo file from 07 with FSHX

Extract the file and save as arm.bmp

Open the .BMP File in EAgraph then resample it

Follow the info in the pic

it should now look like this:

Do the same for the legs. . .

now paste the pic in this arm and leg file from 05 it should now look like
this:

now open any players former tattoo file with FSHX and import the new .bmp and save it as (playercode)_tats.fsh and there u can now use it in the game.

Thanks Seushiro. I'll take up this responsibility. I'm at school right now, not at my home computer. When I get home, I will try this.

I really hate to keep asking and asking and asking like I'm some kind of ingrate. I am going to try this and see how it works out. If I can do a decent job, I'll take up tattoo conversions full time. Of course, it would be contingent on el badman releasing them.

If el badman would give me permission and you as well if you ask him them we can half the work and place the patches in a joint venture thread. . .

That's up to you Seushiro. You can focus on the other stuff while I do the tattoos. I'm sure you have enough on your plate.

It shouldn't be a problem for el badman b/c he let RSox do it. Asking him is a matter of courtesy. I'll PM him.

Seushiro, I'm trying my hand at this now.

I was ok until the EAGraph part.

How do I do that?

Also, how do I do this: "now open any players former tattoo file with FSHX and import the new .bmp and save it as (playercode)_tats.fsh and there u can now use it in the game."

What if the player doesn't have a tattoo file. Like 2005 didn't give him tattoos and we're giving him tattoos? Or what if we're updating a player's tattoos? Does that make a difference?

Use anyones tattoo file, import the image, then save it. Then just change the name to the PLYERPKG of the player you intend it to be used for.

The Live 05 images with both arms and legs are 512x512 so just get the arms you made and paste the 256X512 arms and the 256X512 legs so it becomes like the one in the pic. . . you can use my skin files for base just extract it and paste the parts there and import it to a tattoo. . .

Oh and for those who did'nt have tattoos but do know you do not need to edit the DBF the program already understands it like dowright_tats.fsh, the game uses it as his tattoos even if he does not have any before. . .

Seushiro, I still don't understand. After I resample the arms/legs in EAGraph, what do I do from there? How do I "paste" the 256x512? Where do I paste it?

use paint and paste it to the arms and legs together pic like the one in the template. . .

edit: open the two bmps (arms and legs) with paint and paste it into the tattoo_base from the templates. . . then save it and you now have the finished product. . . which you can import as a tattoo file

Here's what I did. I was up to the point where I resampled the pic in EAGraph. Tell me if I did anything wrong.

1. "Copied" the pic from EAGraph.
2. Opened up Paint, pasted the pic from EAGraph and saved as a new file.
3. Opened up a tat file (I just copied someone else's tat file) with FSHX and imported the pic I just saved from Paint.
4. Placed the tat file in sgsm.

Are these 4 steps correct for a tattoo file?

I tried doing Carmelo. There was no leg file, only arm.

It worked, but the tats look terrible. It's blurry, out of place, and smudged up.

Yup pretty much it. . . for better results after resizing the pic sharpen the image with Eagraph. . . I'll take a wack at that. . .

What about repositioning it? The tattoos, especially on the left arm should be over to the right (Carmel's left) more. The tattoos are slipping into the underside of the bicep, not on the outside.

How do I sharpen the image?

I know I can do a better job than that. You should see how el badman's Carmelo is in on the 07 tattoo thread. It's clear as day. Very sharp and well positioned.

Seu, how did you photoshop it? What did you do?

Also, how did you zoom in like that w/o the annoying instant replay remote at the bottom?

I croped the Image with photoshop to get that pic. . . i think we have to lift all the tattoos up when converting it huh?. . .

In photoshop you go to filter then use sharpen. . . if you sharpen it way to much you can blur it once to balance everything. . . iN the sample I used Sharpen More then blurred it. . .

How much do you sharpen? How do you crop the image? How do you lift up the tattoos when converting?

If no sharpen More then sharpen it twice then blur once. . . okay? about the crop. . . uhm. . . you can just use paint and cut the preview right?. . .

Yeah in regular paint that comes with the computer, I can cut/copy the preview out.

For lifting Tattoos look at the skin template folder there is a file named tatoo and as you see, i cut out everything and pasted T-MAC's uplifted Tattoos to skin 30 which is his skin type. . .
