Aussie Rock Legend Dies

Postby Dan's Brain on Wed Feb 28, 2007 8:29 am

Early this morning, Australian time, Billy Thorpe suffered a major heart attack and died. This may not mean anything to anyone under 22 or outside Australia. But Billy did a great deal for Aussie music in the 60s and 70s.

RIP

Man, this is very sad. He was a great songwriter and spokesperson for the industry.

I know my parents will be devastated, as Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs were huge when they were growing up.

R.I.P and headline the Sunbury Festival in the sky.
