Yes I will begin working on NBA Live 2005 mods.


First up is converting 07 stadiums to work in 2005.

Then I will attempt to convert Andrew's roster over to 2005.

Followed by a lighting file

And maybe a practice court or two.

I will also convert c0nr4d's work from 07 into 2005 so we can have good jerseys as well.

Sounds fun, Let's see what we can come up with to bring back 2005!

I would LOVE to do 2004 but I just like the 2005 gameplay/shadows/net more. And now that we have the 2004 animations in 2005 I'm pretty much sold on 2005. Also that whole issue with 2004 having a pretty much entirely different graphics engine than 2005 I'd have to re-learn much of everything that I know.

Compatible 07 downloads have been edited into the download list. I have contacted Lagoa and Looser about converting their courts over to 2005.

jao have you ever made jerseys? could you teach me how people make stripes along the neck and and how they make the shapes of the neck areas? also are there any templates out there? i have sag's templates but nothing else. i tried making a magic jersey and this is the farthest i got (1st ever attempt)

i think its alright for a start, im trying to help out in patching 05 too

its a very good start and a damn good jersey but jersey editing isnt really my thing really. Sorry I can't really help you more. Try PMing looser or someone in the 07 forums for help.


As for right now though the stadium conversion from 07 to 2005 went very smoothly so I included a higher quality 3D crowd with better quality camera and security people.






It's uploading now and I'll post it on the main page and in the 2nd post when its up for download.

Jao, do you think there would be anyway to make the headbands work in 2005 on converted 07 headshapes?

Well I have converted the headhape itself, but changing the letter A in the headband part in the Hex editor doesn't work. Also renaming files and hoping that works didn't pan out. I have converted most of the rookies and sophomores headshapes so we can have life like rookies instead of using other peoples headshapes, but the headband is the problem. I would be keen on just converting the non-headband wearers though.

I'm working on an updated roster, but not the art side of it. I could grab some CFs that we need and convert them though

OMG. Jao, you just made my day! This is incredible!!!!!!

Here are my requests when you get the chance.

-Coaches: This needs to be updated SO BADLY. Some teams have Terry Porter as their coach and he never was their coach! Other teams need to be updated (Isiah Thomas on Knicks, Riley on Heat and so on). Wittman on Wolves, Barone on Grizzlies.
-Tattoos: Rsox converted some, but there’s still a bit more than need to be converted.
-Jerseys: If you could convert the jerseys (Rsox converted the updated jerseys), but there are jerseys that still need to be updated. Celtics with the clover patch; Knicks logo on left shorts leg instead of right shorts leg; “Portland” on Blazers black jersey; “Hornets” on Hornets white jersey. Just these minor updates. Also, on jersey selection screen, if it could say “2006-07” instead of 2004-2005, that would give the game an updated feel. Basically, convert all jerseys from 2007 for 2005.
-All Star Weekend: Anything that was made for All Star Weekend for 07, please convert to 2005. Too many Denver or yellow/blue references.
