I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I got a bass for Christmas. The one I had was really neck heavy though, so I got a new one. I like the new one better - and it was only $300.

Yeah, I forgot to say that. It's something like a vintage remake of a Fender, I don't really know all that much about basses. Apparently it's a pretty good one for a beginner. All I know is that I like it.

Vintage? No. They are tied to the fender brand, but that doesn't make them good. They are the little sister brand of fender. Fender make squires for the purpose of providing affordable prices for beginners. But in turn, they're crap. I have a squire guitar. Have had it since about 1998. It's crap. Weighs a ton and plays like a cunt. It's just not quality at all. But hey, it's an electric guitar that works.
To be honest $300 is too much for a squire.
That'd be like $450-500 AUS. Waaay too much. But if you like it, then that's all that matters i suppose, because all guitars just come down to personal preference really.

It was one of the cheapest ones at the store. I didn't mean it was actually vintage, I meant that it's a vintage design. It actually just came out recently. Something like the style of pickup is one of the old designs. My teacher helped me pick it out and I trust his judgement based on the experience he has. I dunno, maybe Squire guitars aren't comparable to Squire bases. Whatever, it does the trick for me.

It was a snow day today. I slept until 3:00 PM. Another snow day seems pretty likely due to signicant icing on the roads along with a possible 3-5 inches of snow.
