IMO, the Edge vs Undertaker idea would be excellent. Have Cena drop the title to Edge, and have Taker jump ship to RAW, and it'd make one hell of a Wrestlemania. And of course, have Taker get the title, but to make it seem like a struggle so that WWE can somewhat put Edge over as well.

BTW, anyone catch RAW? I'm not so sure, but I sort of feel gullible.. but just curious if the money that were dropped at the show were real, especially since they were $100 :shock:

Could be, Trump has plenty of money and this definitly improved his reputation.

People are saying it was. They weren't all hundreds, but Trump gets a shitload os publicity for it.

Basically, Vince Mcmahon is starting a feud with Donald Trump. So McMahon decides to do a fan appreciation night, but he's only willing to give a portrait of his Muscle & Fitness magazine cover to only one fan, and then Donald Trump comes on the titantron and trumps McMahon by showing him how fan appreciation is done. McMahon's fans that is, which is why McMahon got owned. So Combover Trump rains down money from the top rafters down to the arena (mainly in the fan seats), and yeah, that was pretty much it. :wink:

Since there is no rule stipulating what title The Undertaker can challenge, he could take on Cena or Batista (or Lashley...but there is absolutely no reason for him to go after the ECW title)

I am guessing that it will end up being Taker versus Cena. Both are popular with the fans (though different types of fans like each wrestler), so it would be easy to sell the match.

As for how the match would end up, I suppose it could go either way depending on what WWE wants to do with it's future. Cena could defeat Taker in an effort to further promote the man they have promoted more than anyone else in the past year (being that he broke the Undertakers perfect record).

However, I think the Undertaker will win the match and then retire with a 15-0 record at Wrestlemania. It seems like it would be a good way for him to go out, and I am betting he is getting very close to retirement after spending the past 16 years in the business. Plus I believe he just had a kid in the last year that he would like to spend more time with (not to mention his wife whose name is etched across his neck).

Speaking of which, it's kind of ridiculous for an ECW title match to be contested entirely inside the ring, with no foreign objects involved whatsoever. Who wants to watch that?

Apparently, Vince McMahon. Which is why the resurrection of ECW is totally toned down. Personally, I've never, ever liked hardcore matches, since I grew up watching traditional matches (early 90's WWF days) so I could care less how ECW is done these days. I just think it's ridiculous they even bother brining back ECW.

I'd go for that. Thumbs Up If nothing else, we could see the end of the spinner belt.

I hope the era of the spinner belt would end. I sometimes hate the belt mroe than Cena himself. The belt constantly reminds me of how messed up wrestling has become these days.

Being an Undertaker fan I'd like to see it happen too though I'd understand if they didn't want to go that way. After all, these records in wrestling tend to get broken to put over the new generation of wrestlers and ultimately the talent is expected to do what's right for the business. However, it would be an appropriate gesture and if they can keep bringing Hogan back to go over fulltime talents (including people such as Randy Orton, who should be around for a while yet) then surely Taker's WM streak could remain perfect.

Hogan said he was not working for the WWE anymore in a recent interview. and the way WWE pushes young rising superstars now (even though Batista isn't all that young lol), it seems more than likely Undertaker will lose at WM23.

and the WWE needs to create better storylines to keep people interested in watching. they need to bring that "attitude era" swagger back. their storylines now are just re-runs from older ones.

I read that update on Hogan too. It's a shame, but what he did was extremely unprofessional.

I'd think there'd be more of a chance of Undertaker losing to Cena since he's much younger (Batista's pushing 40, after all) and I've also read a lot of people feel that Batista is losing steam while the Undertaker is making the most of his current push. If/when Taker's Wrestlemania streak ends, I'd expect him to put over someone like Cena, Edge or Orton rather than Batista. Besides, I'd like to see him have one last run with the title. Ditto Shawn Michaels.

Some of the storylines aren't so bad right now though I agree they aren't as compelling as in years past. I don't know if a revival of the Attitude Era would really help though. After all, wouldn't that just be rehashing old storylines as well? I'd suggest they're even doing that already with Cena, first with his clashes with Eric Bischoff a couple of years back and more recently with his run-in with McMahon.

There's been rumblings Batista might turn, possibly at No Way Out. As far as the spinner belt is concerned they needn't have kept it if they had Taker challenge Cena and win the WWE title. As I said before, it would have been a fine way of getting rid of the spinner belt. It's about time.

Hmmm.....but Taker gave him the thumb-across-the-throat gesture right before the spinebuster, so it seemed somewhat justified. If that match had been for the tag titles though, that angle wouldn't have made any sense, which is probably why they did it that way.

Yeah, but don't you think that it's fake? If WWE release Cena, they can easily find another actor and that new actor will act another role, similiar than Cena's. Cena is just boring for me, cause he always always always uses the same movies: The FU, STFU, Shoulder Block, etc. He has too big push. Really to big. Cena will not lose the belt to HBK, HBK is gonna try and keep DX from dying and might feud with some of the younger talent and put them over. Cena is gonna have his hands full after WM23 he might have to face the great khali and that will be a boring match.

Taker will be champ after WM23 and will feud with Kennedy/Batista and dare i say Kane too all the way to summerslam. its only fitting for Kane to become champ later this year by winning the title over taker as his final match.
