they now have a record of 4-2 if they win there next game they in the sem-finals 4 sure!!

for canada:
nash had 9, 8 and 3 in 30 minutes...

barrett had 12, 1 and 1 in 22 minutes....

brown had 16, 1, and 6....

for Dominican Republic

Vargas had 17, 2 and 10....

Paniagua had 12, 2 and 1...

Western had 13 and 1.

No guarantees there buddy. Both Mexico and Venezuela have beaten Argentina already. Canada is earning some respect this year and an upset is possible.

Ya, canada can beat argentina, they only lost by 4 points last time, that isn't very much to lose by, plus they were resting Nash, so this time they not gonna limit his minutes since it is the semi-finals. What the funniest thing would be ever is if USA gets 4th and doesn't quailfy for the olympics....(hey it could happen)

The NBA wouldn't pay them off, their respective teams would so that they don't get injured in the olympics and can't play for the team.

Hey, it could happen (and yes, it would be very funny) but personally (and no harm intended for the folks south of the border) I really hope against hope that USA will lose in the semi-final so Canada won't have to play them (if they get past Argentina that is) and if USA actually by some miracle does finish 4th, great, that's one less powerhouse Canada (and China) has to worry about in the Olympics.

there is almost no possibility for US to lose to Purto Rico but if they do they'll have a shot against Canada/Argentina for the third seed...seeing as it goes it is impossible for them to lose 1 game...not to mention 2 games...

Yeah, I heard on sportsnet that most likely the game against Argentina is Canada's best chance to qualify because Puerto Rico might rest their players in the game against USA seeing as they have no chance of winning anyway.
