2nd game of a back-2-back and it's against the Mavs. No one expected a win anyway.

Dirk and Josh Howard are too much without Odom.

Huge disadvantage for the Lakers without starters Brown and Odom, wait until they get healed, let us see who wins in the Western Conference (althought it might be Suns with Amare back in his old shape).

53-28 in rebounding totals.

How is it possible that we gave up so many freakin offensive rebounds?

Howard is a monster at offensive rebounds, he tips in so many shots and also so fast, a quick leaper too. Cook's quite slow with rebounds while Bynum's usually lost in the fast pace of the Mavs.

We didn't lose because of officials. Yes, they were awfully bad, but Phil's refusal to let Kobe shoot in the first half and Phil's coaching strategy to put Luke on West made us lose.

Odom's return probably won't guarantee a win. But at least the lakers wouldn't bleed too much from the lack of defense on rasual butler and david west. Based on the last LAL-NOH game, it seems this is who they should guard, and maybe janero pargo too. It is such a surprise that the hornets are doing well with Paul out.

i really hope the lakers can get a much more decent backups for defense more than what turiaf and cook are showing. Hopefully, a good run by the lakers this season would attract some nice free agents. Maurice evans was a nice off season pickup.

depressed/emo for the time being.

Are these related?

Actually I shouldn't talk, I might lose someone else for a long period of time along with Jefferson ... not that he was doing anything apart from shooting a low percentage and turning the ball over

Odom is closer to returning then Brown....Brown still said he has pain in his ankle in practice today...and the lakers wont be taking any breaks during these 3 days so they can see how each are doing...i dont really see odom starting right when he comes back anyways...so i dont think his returing helps at the moment..

I practically shit myself when Wallace left Kobe for that last 3. I was kind of doubting the Bobcats to win in OT, but they pulled it out thankfully

Sucks of course whenever Lakers lose but ah well. They have all season to work out the kinks and as long as they are in form come playoff time I'll be happy. Glad to see Lamar back as well. I barely glimpsed the score on ESPN so I suppose I'll check the box now.

edit: Nice line by Bynum. (y)

Woot!

Lakers leading in the 3rd quarter against the Spurs. I hope they can keep rolling along and not let up. Been watching on and off but last I saw was Odom draining a 3 so thats a good sign. Sucks that as soon as we get him back we lose Walton though.

edit: I hate to make it a consistent issue but we got some really iffy officiating going on.

Fuck, 2 pt game with Spurs in possession. Shit balls.

They better not lose this.

Oh man, Parker with a chance to tie at the line.

edit: Nooooooooo

Lakers down by 2 under a minut. Ginobli at the line.

EDIT: YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VLADIMIR RADMANOVIC WITH THE 3 TO TIE!!!!

I COULD KISS THIS GUY!!!!!!!.

Do not foul. Let SA make a shot.

Edit: Cmon refs, make consistent calls man.
