More basic dunks and nothing else to be controlled by the right hand analog stick, cause last I checked the PC keyboard didn't have one.
I ain't gonna go and buy me a lousy game pad to play a game that can be better controlled by the keyboard. The keyboard has that much more precision then a pad and that just makes it better.
Never used a game pad and never will...
gamepad is much better than keyboard

The problem here is not the keypad/keyboard dilemma. The problem is the inability for EA programmers to implement the freestyle controls for the keyboard. It just needs a better system for the implementation.
You just can't use freestyle controls with keyboard in Live 2003. And thus either get it right and good for keyboard or just don't keep on slamming everything new behind the freestyle controls of the right analog stick.
This seems to be the trend anyway, cause NHL is going in the same direction. AND IT JUST SUCKS!

Heres a few subjects i thought about....
1.) What do u think of little guys dunking in 2004?
2.)I just got to thinking about alleyoops and how their timing is almost always off in live. You throw the ball out of bounds alot and one of the only ways for them to work is the guy has to be behind the defender. If you can dunk on anyone in the game you should be able to throw down an alley oop. It makes more sense to lose the ball if u throw a halfcourt lob.
3.)The lob pass-It should be able to be called instead of it being only for alleyoops.

EA: Give a "NBA Live arcade '04" to all console players and a "NBA Live sim '04" to us simulations fans
wat makes u think us console players dont want a good sim as well
Sun Aug 24, 2003 2:35 am
Cause
They don't want a serious deep sim game, they want 20min full arcade action

It would be nice if arcade mode was like how it is now and simulation mode is just a simulation. Not just flashy, highlight reel plays.

Yeh I agree with y'all ...the thing i want to see is that if a player cant catch the alley oop and slam it down ..that they just lay it in like an alley opp without the slaming just layup just like in March Madness ...... and i want to see no more dunks where they bring it down to their waste ...in a game half the time it get knocked way in trafffic ....and the alley oops ...a player should fake one way the go another ....and blocking off the backboard should be better ...and Off the backboard Dunks ...for the nets!

I think you'll be able to change it into a layup.

I hope you can change it 2 a lay-up. This is a feature I liked on NBA2K3. When I had someone like Kobe go in a crowded lane instead of just jamming on everyone, I'd press the button again and make him lay it up for a more realistic effect.
Hopefully we can do this in Live.

I'm almost positive you can do that. From what i see in the videos and every other ea basketball games got it.

Well, you know mostly it is like that. The majority of console players want fast arcade games and thats why EA have done a arcade game, cause they earn more on console players than PC players.

I almost hate to say it but i really didnt mind 2003's gamespeed. It could stand to be slowed down abit but i sorta liked cherrypicking with kobe and throwing it long for the windmill or 360. I am a console owner although i have live 2003 for pc and ps2.
Now NBA 2k3's speed isnt bad. It's just the fact a fastbreak is rare, which is kind of funny. In live 2003 a fastbreak happens about 9/10 times where as in nba 2k3 a fastbreak happens like 1/60 times. But i guess live is fast because of freestyle control. Whats the point of freestyle control with a slow game?

Hopefully EA will get a chance (if they not already did so) to bring in their cover boy Vince Carter to do everything from basic dunks and complex dunks for on court 5-on-5 action, to the exclusive honey dip for there one-one mode that only Vincec ould do, plus other ill dunks just for street mode. One dunk that i noticed thats not in NBA Live 2003 is the between the legs Dunk, as long as a dunk is in the NBA i think it should be in the game especially the patent J.Kidd of the backboard alley-oop. This brings me to my idea of EA adding a creat-a-dunk feature similar to NBA shootout.

i don't know, but it seem like none said it yet,
but by looking at the screens and vids on live2004, it is exacly the same dunks as in 2003..
and it seems like it's something like player-moves would be one of the first thing you'd make when making a game... (like the 10-man movement)
although i realy hope that they will put in new dunks and layupp's
especially the sounds that it makes when dunking, i meen, seriously, it sounds like a 'got' damn explotion in 2003...

Yeah that booming sound in NBA Live 2003 and Live 2002 was real annoying I really hope they take it out, for real real. They really just need to look at NBA Inside Drive 2003 for the xbox cause the dunking engine was damn near perfect. Players like Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, and Tracey Mcgrady would do soft but fancy dunks in the half-court game but during the full court fast break, they shined like no other with 360's, windmills, between the legs dunks, ect. It really made it a real Nba expericene plus the pace of the game was perfect, but live has the good features (Dynasty mode, NBA store, the best create-a-player, Sneakers, ect) making it the most wanted game of the big NBA games this year to be realistic and Nba esque.
P.S So EA fix the dunking and take out the boooom sound, cause the NBA players aren't air planes and they don't make noises in the air, except for a scream here and there.
