Anyways, good news for me: I finally got rid of Windows XP and installed Linux (Ubuntu) yesterday and today I got XGL/Beryl to work (3D Desktop). Yay!

After a month of struggle,passages with no light and all that jazz,I am finally feeling good,because well,my brother is home from the hospital.I was expecting a miracle and I finally got it.

From the point of almost dieing to the point where he is as healthy as he can be.Damn I am enjoying this moment.Its really been a tough month for me , I was in a state of depression,I didn't know what to do.I couldn't focus on anything,I only thought of one thing " When will he get better ? "

This experience has damaged me mentally,I am thinking of things that people shouldn't worry at my age.I am focusing a lot on my future,thinking days ahead and really planing for everything that will happen.

Yes as you could see,I wasn't posting on the forum or being on msn really.Well I was on on,but thats was just for my friends,that helped me along the way.


As for the forum,I was thinking of never coming back,but I realized how much I still like this place and how I can forget about my problems for a while.I am going to stay here for now.This placed helped me and I think it still can.

Well I guess the fact it not a real place does make it a bit easier in the sense you just say what you want and that's that. Not like you have to sit face to face with somebody and 'open up'. In that regard it is a good avenue to vent whatever feelings you have bottled up, and that you have no release for them locally. One of the better characteristics of this community I would say.

Gonna get a 2001 ford explorer. Had it inspected and all and its good to go. I'm just having them do some minor work on it since I'm anal like that and then I'll be running over bodies in large crowds in no time.

A Ford Fucking Explorer? You've got to be kidding me. Here I am trying to find the lightest weighing car (it's narrowed down to the following three: Honda Civic, Toyota Starlet or a Mitsubishi Colt) so that I don't start bleeding out of my anus by having to pay large sums of tax every month, and you're buying a Ford Explorer? The insanity they call Dutchland. Curse it, curse it all to hell.

Would it be too nosey to ask how much you're spending? I've peaked at 1500 Euro's, I think that's a decent amount for my first car.

Heres the actual vehicle on the lot. Told yall its basically the same thing. Actually its a bit too creepy now.

I spent 5000$ (roughly 3860 euros) on it. Not bad considering the other prices around. Also the fact its a v6, not a v8, is nice so I wont be "bleeding out my anus" paying for gas as much. As I said before I got the engine checked out and stuff, got a CARFAX history report on it and its clean. Apparently there were 2 previous owners, the first being used as a company car then as a personal vehicle when the 2nd dude got his hands on it.

I'm happy. My mom's happy. Her partner is happy. My wife is happy. I'm happy.

edit: Out of the cars you listed I'd go with the Civic, just over the Starlet. What yr on those btw?

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Civic myself, it just looks cooler. It is a bit heavier than the Starlet, but yeah, the fact my sis started off with a Starlet as her first car gives me a "known" feeling to it. So basically I'm leaning towards the Civic.

I have enough for a BMW 3 Series as well, I've seen a couple of all right ones, but first off the parts are expensive, secondly it's worth more than Japanese cars, so you pay more tax on it per month...and on top of that it's 4 doors which is automatically heavier than a 2 (3) doors, which means even more tax. Damn taxes. Damn them to hell.

Most of the ones I've (well, my brother in law, he's the car expert) has looked at are between 93 and 2000. Whichever one he suggest to buy, I'll buy that one.

Cool beans, If I was 5 inches shorter I'd have definitely ended up with a Civic but as it is now itll be like Yao Ming fitting into a Lada.
