how do you fix this error "the file you are trying to open is not a valid EA SHP File" then its follewed bay "access violation blah... blah... blah..."

EAGE hasn't been updated in years as Brien has retired, thus it's not 100% compatible with the art files of the latest NBA Live games.

I can't help you there, sorry. You might want to ask about that in one of the Patching sections.
