whats the best control pad in the market right now to buy if I want to fully use the analouge freestyle moves for the game?
My old one is either analogue stick or digital .. so cant have both.. meaning cannot use all the functions...
just curious.

There is a Thrustmaster gamepad that is shaped just like the PS2 and the name of it is the Firestorm. Look at this website.

I use the PS2 adapter and I love it, but a lot of Madden heads are getting this control which should be coming out soon--I'm sure you could use this for Live 2004 as well

But I also recommend this one:

Is anologic stick are mandatory to play NBA LIVE ?
Am I missing something if I don't use that kind of joystick ( mine is a sidewinder....)

To be honest, the Wingman rumble pad I have mentioned above is quite large for Chinese(we have a relatively small hand you know)
Also it is not quite comfortable for holding a long time(I must say that sindwinder is much much better)
However, it should be the best analog gamepad for PC(yeah, for PC, other than the PS2 joystick which is not designed for PC:lol: ) With its six buttons and four triggers, it will suit the gameplay of Live series IMO.

Does anyone have the non-cordless wingman?? I got it at best buy and its shaped a lot different than the cordless, really boxy and such, the analog sticks work fine but the design isn't as comfortable as my old sidewinder. Saved me 20 bucks...

I'm gonna use a PS2 controller to play it on PC. I think that's one of the best game pads ever made actually. Fits Live.

Sorry, this could be a stupid question i know 
, can u just like plug-in a ps2 controller and play with it on your pc? Or is it like with a joystick from lets say sidewinder or so that u have to install a cd first? A gamepad u can just plug-in or what(in that case im gonna buy a ps2 controller i think or any better suggestions?)?

You need a converter så that you can use the PS2 controller on the pc's usb port. Then it's just some small calibration you need to make, i belive.

I prefer the cordless one I have, which is much more rounded on the edges, and therefore more comfortable in my hand. Plus I can take it two floors up and it still finds a signal to play.vince1031 wrote:btw when you guys talk about wingman.. is it the

I have that. The would be the most valuable controller on the market right now. It's $20 in USA.
Eight buttons would be enough for the game. If the PS2 controller has 8 buttons, I'm sure it will work for the PC.
$20 is a decent price for a controller. Most of the flashy ones are around $30-$60. So if you want to stick with a better deal, get the P880.

Yes and no. Some people have problems and others don't. Personally I've never experienced trouble with the little thing. In fact, I don't even have the drivers installed on my current system. Hell, I don't even have a floppy drive to install the drivers with. I just plug it in and XP detects a "PS2 Adapter," or something to that effect. All functionality except for the annoying rumbling is left intact.
I think problems may have something to do with the color of the adapter, which signifies a version. Try getting the blue one. I use it and it rocks.
Note that there may very well be a newer model available by now.

I'm using the SuperPSJoy and have experienced no debilitating problems. However, I have read many reports that it will not work with Windows XP. For me, this is simply untrue. I've plugged mine in to four different XP machines with completely different configurations, and each time it's immediately recognized as a PSX/USB Pad.
Granted, mine is a controller that refuses to rumble and the pressure sensitivity is barely operational, but the pad is damn functional. The only other problems I've had revolve around the adapter's uncooperative nature with the Sidewinder Precision Pro. Microsoft's stick pretty much dominates every game. Whenever I try to play a title with the Super PSJoy, I must first disable the Sidewinder in the Control Panel for it to function properly. Also, some titles won't recognize the digital pad since Windows recognizes it as a directional hat. Thus, playing something like Frogger can be a pain in the ass if you don't seek out a binding program.

ahh help..
i just got the logitech dual action game pad.
How come I have to use the analog stick to control the players... is it like this on other dual analog controllers also?
I would rather use the d-pad to control the players movements... anyone know a solution. I already tried under control configuration during the game and it wont let me change to control movement with my d-pad!!

Mine works fine, you should be able to control them with both. Although at first, I thought it was better to control them with the digital pad, but I like the stick better now. Make sure you install the drivers if you are having problems.

already installed the drivers that was included in the cd,
is there updated on the web? couldnt find any on logitech.com
