Chicago Comes Out Ahead Without Kirk Hinrich: 87 - 83

In their 16th game of the season Chicago started strong, taking a double digit lead by the end of the first. But they slowed down towards the end, and Luol Deng's 3 pointer with just 11 seconds remaining put them ahead by 4. Allen Iverson and Luol Deng tied for 22 points, backed up by 16 from Andrea Bargnani and 9 from DeMarr Johnson.

Allen Iverson contributed across the board with 22 points 5 rebounds 8 assists 6 steals and a rare block, earning him the Adobe Player of the Game Honors. Iverson never sat down, playing the entire game.

Luol Deng completed the Citgo High Speed Play of the Game with his game winning 3.

Bryant's Lakers to host the Raging Bulls

ESPN presents Bulls vs LAkers tonight as two of the best guards in the NAB, Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant face each other in a big game. The 8-9 Lakers fight to reach .500 while the Bulls work to extend their win streak.

1st Quarter: Bulls 24 - Lakers 22

The Bulls started off strong with Allen Iverson consistently connecting with Kirk Hinrich. Despite the strong play of the Bulls guards the Lakers aggressive Defence was successful in shuting down Allen Iverson on the fast-break and wrecking multiple plays. The Bulls were inable to take a big leaed, but held off the balanced lakers offence and took a two point lead with just 20 seconds left in the quarter.

Bulls
Allen Iverson - 2rebs 2ass 3stl 6pts
Kirk Hinrich - 10pts

Lakers
Smush Parker - 1reb 2ass 8pts
Kwame Brown - 4rebs 1blk 2pts

2nd Quarter: Bulls 50 - Lakers 39

Andrea bargnani and Andres Nocioni tooka seat on the bench this quarter to make way for Cliff Robinson and Luol Deng. The Bulls continued with their fast paced, jump shooting offensive style, and the point guards intuition of Kirk Hinrich allowed Allen Iverson to connect with him on multiple occasions. Luol Deng ripped through the Lakers defence for 12pts, leading the Bulls into the lead. Deng has consistently played strong basketball as 6th man, and continues to provide a good inside weapon. The bulls defence limited the Lakers offence so that no player reached teh 5 point mark in the 2nd quarter.

Bulls
Luol Deng - 2rebs 1ass 1blk 12pts
Allen Iverson - 2rebs 3ass 8pts

Lakers
Kobe Bryant - 2rebs 4pts
Brian Cook - 2rebs 2pts

3rd Quarter: Bulls 67 - Lakers 53

The Lakers defence adjusted to the fast paced outside style of the Bulls offence limiting them to just 17pts in the quarter. Although the Bulls wer held back the return of Primoz Brezec and Andrea Bargnani on the inside limited the Lakers to a smaller 14pts. Andrea BArgnani held the Offensive burden of his team, and instead of Kirk Hinrich catching and shooting, Bargning was recieving the passes. As each game passes, Bargnani's methon of Jumping backward and going for a layup style shot came in useful in this quarter. BArgnani contributed 10 of the Bulls 17pts.

Bulls
Andrea Bargnani - 3rebs 1ass 1stl 1blk 10pts
Allen Iverson - 1reb 1ass 3stl 2pts

Lakers
Kobe Bryant - 2rebs 1ass 6pts
Vladamir Radmonovic - 4rebs 2pts

4th Quarter: Bulls 83 - Lakers 80

I will reveal now that in game I play the 4th Quarter as my opponent to give them a fighting chance. Though some of you may doubt my integrity as my opponent, however I blame the loss of this game entirely on the inability of the gme to let me be Kobe Bryant for the last 3 minutes of defensive play.

The Lakers were able to play a strong style of Offense, forcing teh ball in on a multitude of dunk plays headed by Kobe Bryant and the pass n' dunk play with Kwame Brown. The addition of Aaron Mckie at SG allowed the Lakers to add a larger player who could add another functional point guard. McKie set up many scoring posessions but faltered on defenec and active offense. The Bulls managed to score on most posessions they got near the rim, and were able to hang on. Kirk Hinrich's 3 pointer with just 30 seconds left was the game winning play that put the Lakers out of a position to win. The Lakers had teh most winningest quarter outscoring the Bulls 27-16.

Bulls
Cliff Robinson - 5rebs 1stl 6pts
Allen Iverson - 1reb 2ass 1stl 1blk 2pts

Lakers
Kobe Bryant - 2rebs 2stl 13pts
Kwame Brown - 3rebs 1blk 8pts

Tonights Player of The Game was Allen Iverson.
6 Rebounds
8 Assists
7 Steals
1 Block
18 Points
