Scratched DVDs/Games

so out of curiosity, has anyone used those spin doctor things to "fix" scratched up cds? are they worth the money? I found that while my games play fine if i uninstall and try to reinstall most of them have scratches over the installer files. Just curious if these actually work well or not.

I have one of those, it works really well. But, make sure you get the correct one. I bought the skip doctor a few years ago adn it worked wonders on my cd's. One thing though, I tried it on a DVD that was skipping and it actually made the skipping worse. Possibly my fault, though.
