Heat Dominate Flailing Knicks

When a team passes as little as the Knicks do, they had better be making their shots. Isiah Thomas's team struggled in Miami, mostly due to poor team play, which has been their issue all of this year and last year.

Almost every posession consisted of one pass on the perimeter, followed by a drive, and a missed pullup jumper. Steve Francis was the only one attacking the rim, and the team's leading scorer, Quentin Richardson with 17 points, got most of them by hitting tough jumpers that should never have been taken.

Furthermore, when your Small Forward has a team leading 9 rebounds, there are issues. The frontline was beat by Miami's front 2, which included Dwight Howard's 14 rebounds to earn POTG.

Dwyane Wade set a season low with 19 points in his 30 minutes. He has been playing a limited role due to the depth at the shooting guard situation. (Although coaches and front office workers hinted that this may not be true near in the future, most likely spurred by Salim Stoudamire's 4/11 night, including 1/6 threes).

"Salim is not happy here," noted assistant coach Jimmy Page. "He says he wants to leave and that is an option we are pursuing right now."

Meanwhile, it seems like nothing can help the Knicks who currently sit at 2-10. The teams next meet up January 22, with another meeting on the 26th in the same week. The Heat next play the Atlanta Hawks.

I'm having soem issues right now with fatigue fixes, so once I get that sorted out I'll post the next game. I'll post the Atlanta game before that though.

Heat Get Win In Atlanta

It was a day for the power forwards.

Dwight Howard earned POTG honors with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 4 Blocks, and 3 rebounds during his 36 minutes on the court.

His counterpart, Marvin Williams grabbed an astonishing 19 boards and scored 17 points, most of which came during a valiant fourth quarter run.

Atlanta's scoring was okay (91 points), but the Heat, who average 112 points a game, beat their average with 116.

The Heat are thoroughly outscoring everyone in the league, and it has made a big contribution to their strong start.

Rebounding has also been a strong point, with three players grabbing 10+ boards vs. Atlanta. Shaq had 10, Zo had 13, and Howard had 14.

But it wasn't only the inside that stood out.

Gerald Wallace had a breakout game with 23 points and 4 rebounds. He ran the floor very well and scored in transition. At the end of the first half, the team also turned to him with Wade and the other starters on the bench.

Salim Stoudamire had a very poor game statistically, but showed a few flashes in his shooting that could get him back on track.

The Heat will look to stay on track against the Hornets and Chris Paul.

Nice win, even though atlanta is an easy team to beat. Good to see my man Dwyane had 9 assits.
Focus on that 7'5'' fella,is he highly projected? if he does, try trading to get a lottery pick,if not,try to get him using your own pick, both ways, get him, especially when both your good centers are gonne retire soon.
Another thing I've noticed,is that you don't steal\block much, despite having Shaq and Zo inside with Glove and D outside, try that, maybe you won't need to score that much if you use your defense better.
That's it for now,
Shi.

Shi- I think aprt of the issue is the sliders. The games are already out of hand as is, and increasing block/steal would make it easier.

On one hand I want to keep realistic stats, but on the other, the scores are too high.

Take a look at the first post for some new info.

Now on to a 4 game recap, sorry for the laziness.

"The Atlanta Hawks have traded Zaza Pachulia for Morris Peterson.

The Bucks and Trail Blazers have agreed to a deal that will swap promising young players in Brandon Roy and Charlie Villanueva. "

Man,Raps got owned, and so did the Blazers...

I don't think that With Jameer Nelson leading the leag in APG with 8,and Paul Pierce leading in scoring, with no Melo or Kobe around the top five, you can call that REAL,but whatever you want...

Yeah, it's gotten better though with Kobe at least in scoring. Jameer is down in assists and Pierce has fallen in scoring.

But its still very unrealistic, just wait until you see the latest trades.

I just know that the worst trade I've ever seen was LeBron(99) for Bibby(82). Two years later Bibby retired so LeBron's salary was 00.00 WTF.

Is that Howard wearing the blue shoes? Should change the color now that he's in Miami. And obviously players will get old but you should let Shaq retire in Miami instead of shipping him off for new people.
