What team will be your first franchise?

Postby goldnugget15 on Sun Aug 17, 2003 2:28 pm

Hey, I'm new here. What will your first franchise be in 2004? I'm gonna play as the Nuggets ('Melo for ROY, Skita or White MIP!). How about you guys? Post your choice, too. Maybe we can all share a thread so that everyone can just read one thread. It'd be even cooler if there was every team in the thread. Is it possible to play online for PC? New to Live, too.

Teams Chosen:
Denver Nuggets
Houston Rockets (2)
Chicago Bulls
Cleveland Cavaliers (3)
L.A. Lakers (4)
Washington Wizards
Toronto Raptors
Philadelphia 76ers (2)
Golden State Warriors
Phoenix Suns
Memphis Grizzlies

Heheh I thought about doing a nuggets franchise too.. Developing Melo and dre miller sounds fun :D .
But I'll probably do houston. Having Stevie Franchise and Eddie Griffin with Yao ming, sounds nice. New York is a long shot but I might just to develop Dice into the beast in the east

I'm considering going back to using Chicago, most likely making my own roster moves. I avoided making changes in my last two Franchises (Kings in Live 2002 and T'Wolves in Live 2003) and that was fun in a way, but I think I'll go back to building my own roster.

I'm going to use the Cavaliers.I'm going to make LeBron into a premiere player.

Exactly, and it shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 good seasons for him in franchise to get his rating into the 90s. I'm going Cleveland all the way, developing LeBron, going to get him averaging a triple-double. :D

I'm also thinking about Houston and Denver. I wanna see how good I can get Yao and Carmelo to play. Last but not least, I have to try franchise with Toronto and see if VC can still play. :D

It is sad to see dominant players struggle with injuries. It's a damn shame... There are a few in the league that really would make the league better if they were healthy like Grant Hill, Antonio McDyess, Chris Webber, Vince Carter etc. All of those guys would be fun to watch and they really make a difference in their respected teams game and thus would make the league more evened and thus more fun to follow. And more exciting.

Injuries to premier players are always a sad thing... The league would be so much better without injuries, it's sad that they cannot implement it into the real game as they did with Live 2003...

Did you see him play late last season... Man that was awful to watch. The man just wasn't there. And all because of a leg injury. I hope he gets over it and becomes the monster he can be. So the Kings can have a chance against the Lakers.

The LAKERS.
They are the best team ever.

Shaq
Malone
Fox
Bryant
Payton

Come on, who wouldn't want to play with a team like that, that is for real and not made up? Me, me.

Lakers 2004 & 2005 Champions. No doubt.

How funny would it be if robert horry hit a 3 in the dying seconds of a game 7 between the spurs and lakers to beat his former team?

I'll play with the Lakers as usual

Postby LA-LA-LAND on Sun Aug 17, 2003 7:38 pm

The Lakers will be the first team i play a franchise with. And i will also be making the moves i do every year. I will trade for Toni Kukoc to add to the starting line-up, and maybe get Giricek also. These trades may seem a little weird, but i'm Croatian and i enjoy playing with them. But i belive that Kukoc deserves it Croatian or not. The most unselfish guy in the league. A great passer, and consistently hits the open jumper. I love playing Point Forward with him. :D Anyways i will be playing with the Lakers.

Sorry to go a little off topic but the knicks would have been an awsome team with dycess playing he is defintely a player who can average 20pts and 10 rebs a game.To bad spree has gone now so its prob gonna be wolves for me give those lakers and spurs a run for their money. Once I get used to live 2004 i might try building a team up possibly miami.

I will just put every team in this program called the Hat or something like that, and it goes really fast going though all the choices and picks one at random. And than that will be the team I will play. I am going to do this cause there is so much teams that i want to play with so i am just gonna do it random.
(OFF-TOPIC)

Does anyone know that if Kobe goes to jail and misses game, will they take him out of the game? Or just like put him on the injured list or something?

Lakers
Cavs

Yall know as soon as you get the game you are gonna choose LA just because you wanna win your first game. And since they have so much talent now your gonna wanna experiment with the new freestyle control.

though choice, normally i would have chosen the bulls from the 90's(that's the only game i'd probably play with a classic team)just cuz they were really good and i like them, also almost a sure win against any team  , there is also a great chance i will pick the bulls again cuz they have a nice team, could be philly(hopefully they are rated above the 20th place this time  )or orlando, followed by whatever team i feel like picking :)

Ok I found out that program was deleted  that sucks...i used that program alot before but that forgot about it... Oh ya my dad deleted lots of useless crap on my computer, i guess he deleted that too....oh well...

Well i chose the Suns anyway, I will use them so I can make amare stoudamire develop lots and than become the most dominate PF in the league, MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA *cough cough cough* sorry about that....

Or if they have create a team opition than I will do that instead, but if they don;t i going wit Suns first

My #1 team......the Los Angeles Lakers. When Malone´s or GP´s ratings will drop, I can trade them and get some good young guns which LA needs
