My friends have a band called shadows in the sun..they are pretty good. They are actually getting my black ass into rock music....slowly but surely.

ehhh I used to listen to white rock bands in the 90's like Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, a little Green Day, but nowadays they all sound the same. It's all that shitty pop-punk rock emo crap started by the likes of Good Charlotte and has spawned much more crappy music it makes me want to throw up.

my point exactly. more that comes to mind: Panic at the disco, fall out boy, the killers, etc. etc.

Whats weird? I like Killers, I like Panic!, i even like My Chemical Romance....but fall out boy is terrible and i cant figure out why. Maybe its their lack of anything good :lyrics or music, the others at least have positive qualities

Fall Out Boy used to be good, behold:
Light that smoke, yeah, one for giving up on me
And one just cause they’ll kill you sooner than my expectations
To my favorite liar, to my favorite scar (to my favorite scar):
“I could have died with you”
I hope you choke on those words, that kiss, that bottle - confess (So bury me in memory)
Now ash yourself, yeah, out on the insides, said I loved you but I lied
Let’s play this game called “when you catch fire”
I wouldn’t piss to put you out
Stop burning bridges and drive off of them
So I can forget about you
So bury me in memory
His smile’s your rope
So wrap it tight around your throat
On the drive home
Joke about the kid you used to see
And his jealousy
Breaking hearts has never looked so cool
As when you wrap your car around a tree
Your makeup looks so great next to his teeth (his teeth)
Let’s play this game called “when you catch fire”
I wouldn’t piss to put you out, no
Stop burning bridges and drive off of them
So I can forget about you
So bury me in memory
His smile’s your rope
So wrap it tight around your throat
[x2]
So bury me in memory around your throat

ok see thats not bad jae, but here's what they do now...
She says she's no good with words but I'm worse
Barely stuttered out
"A joke of a romantic" or stuck to my tongue
Weighed down with words too over-dramatic
Tonight it's "it can't get much worse"
Vs. "no one should ever feel like.."
I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by
[Whispered:] We're going into D-Minor
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead
Dance, this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me
WTF? how do you devolve lyrically like that?
Sat Dec 09, 2006 9:51 am
Yep, anyone have any? Basically any song that riles you up, from rap songs to rock songs, doesn't matter, as long as the content is there. I need songs to listen to before Judo training..
Songs I have so far:
Eminem - Kill You
Krayzie Bone - Don't Know Why
David Banner ft Lil Jon - Might Getcha
Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz - Stop Fucking With Me
Nas ft Lil Jon & The Bravehearts - Quick To Back Down
Eminem ft Obie Trice & DMX - Go To Sleep
Three 6 Mafia - Somebodies Gonna Get It

Tell me you're visually impaired and just missed the thread called "The Music Thread" that's been stickied.
Tell me.

Disturbed - Down With The Sickness
In Flames - Dark Signs
Protest The Hero - Heretics & Killers
Sevendust - Praise
Soil - Halo
Edit: Also pretty much anything by Korn and surprisingly Linkin Park once you weed out the emo stuff.

Judo isn't about anger, I hope you know this.
But for a some rock-rap combo songs, look up anything by Zebrahead off the album "Waste of Mind".

2pac - Hit Em Up.

Merged the topic "anger inducing songs..." to this thread.
Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:26 am
Should've left a shadow topic so he knows where it went, vanishing threads are confusing as hell
Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:27 am
I'll do that next time

Lol, it's mainly for generating some intensity.

Exactly, lol. I checked back and my initial reaction was "where did the thread go?" Needless to say, I felt quite foolish for not noticing the "Music Thread" stickied uptop (Yeah, I am visually impaired Jackal

You should get your black ass, and check out killswitch engage. They are a metalcore band with a black lead singer.

About the intensity songs, i have an old playlist if you'd like me to send it to you, but i've been meaning horribly to update, the list is from when i had 600 songs...now at 3500...

Ditto on Linkin Park.
The beat of some of their songs coupled with the vocals sounds decent, but once I listen to the lyrics it gets ruined.

Jeezy Confirms Collabo Album With Akon
Young Jeezy recently confirmed in an interview that the album we all expected will indeed happen, Jeezy will team up with Akon to drop an album in the similar vein of the Jigga & R Kelly collab.
More at:

Mon Dec 11, 2006 5:06 pm
I've had enough of Akon since Smack That came out.
Tue Dec 12, 2006 7:27 am
Jeezy ain't half as good as Jigga, Akon ain't half as good as Kells. This album isn't even going to be half as good as Best Of Both Worlds and that album was mediocre at best. Enough said.
