if madden has the ingame save option, I dont think that it automaticaly means that Nba live 2004 has it also! :?
The producers of madden are not the same as nba live,,

4real. Everyone has wanted live to have the same kind of dynasty/franchise but it probably isnt gonna happen.

The fact is that I believe EA is trying to streamline their products so they will be more similar to each other. There are lots of things that are the same in every sport as player management, some sort of player priority system, editing a player, statistics, standings, trading, etc. etc.

These all have their tweaks in real life, but it would help EA to make better games, if they could put some same parts into each one of their games.

NBA had the ingame save as for many years, it was removed from Live 2001 and it's been gone since. I don't expect it to be back and I don't really miss it, unless the has realistic scores with 12 minute quarters cause then one game takes so long time to play through.

I expect Live to be more like the NHL and Madden...

It's a possibility that NBA Live 2004 will feature in-game saves, but I wouldn't hold your breath. My guess is that it won't be in Live 2004, but I certainly wouldn't mind being proven wrong.

What? Are you talking about PC or console? Coz I've been playing Madden for PC since 1999 and they've always had in-game saves.

there was an in-game save function before nba live 2001 (or 2000??)
i am pleased that this freature might back to nba live 2004....

because i sometimes have to pause my games for an hour or more...
or even cannot continue for a few days...

:P :P

i mean pc and youre right my bad, but ingame save is a nice feature because i work mostly i love to save progress instead of having to start over again.

The importance of ingame saving is fully related to the fact that how long does it take in the game to reach realistic scores (80-110 points). In Live 2003 it took me about 6-7 minute quarters so I played with those and thus it takes about 25-30 minutes to play a game and that ain't too long to need an ingame save.

But in Live 2001 it took 12 minute quarters to reach realistic scores, well that's a long time and it takes about an hour to finish a game and thus you could use an ingame save at that point. You're just starting fourth quarter and you have to leave, well that's it for that game.

12 minute quarters need the ingame save, but a more fast paced game doesn't... And that's what I think. I like the fast paced game more like Live 2000. It had pretty realistic statistics with 6-7 minute quarts.
