Pro Evo's Master League is pretty shit. You just play, buy players, play etc. It's the biggest downside to the game, but the gameplay is so enjoyable that you barely notice.

that's disappointing to hear....I'll get it from EB when it comes out if I don't like what I see, I'll return within 7 days....I know FM07 is coming out for the 360 later this year....not sure if I'll take a look at it yet....don't know if I'd have time to fully get into it....

just an update on games I've had, got & considering getting....

I've currently got:

Call of Duty 2 - superb game, I'll definitely be getting COD3 when it comes out....Rating: XXXXX
NBA2k6 - not playing it much of late....just a multi-player game for me while I wait for the 07 lineup to hit....Rating: XXXX

Games I've had, but since sold:

Oblivion Collector's Edition - I know it's suppose to be the top rated 360 game, but the game just frustrated me....I guess I'm not a huge RPG guy & this wasn't my type of RPG....sold it on Ebay for $66 + postage....Rating: XXX (for RPG lovers, it gets an extra X)

Games I've taken back & swapped for other games:

Burnout Revenge - Solid but nothing special & left me wanting more....I did trade it in for COD2, so all was good in the end....Rating: XXx

Games I'm definitely getting in near future:

NBA Live 2007 - Is out mid-October & I'll snap it up pretty quickly....if it's crap, I'll trade it back in....Anticipation Rating: XXXX
NBA 2k7 - Probably won't be out until early 2007, but I can live with that I guess....Anticipation Rating: XXXx (a little less since there's a bit of a wait for the game)

Games I'm seriously considering getting in near future:

Madden 2007 - Provided it gets good reviews, I'll probably pick it up & immerse myself in the Madden experience....Anticipation Rating: XXXx
NHL 07/NHL 2k7 - The ice hockey titles appear to be looking a bit better this year....depending on reviews, I should pick up the better of these titles....this title will be bought for multiplayer action....Anticipation Rating: XXX
Pro Evolution Soccer 6/FIFA 2007 - Depends on reviews on what I get, but I'm leaning towards PES....Anticipation Rating: XXXX
Saints Row - Will wait on reviews, but will probably snap up a title once it is on special....Anticipation Rating: XX
Dead Rising - Will probably give this a run for zombie killing factor....Anticipation Rating: XXx
Enchanted Arms - Don't know much about it, but if reviewed well & gives a good vibe, I might look into it down the line....Anticipation Rating: XX

Games that I know I'll never get, but I can dream:

College Hoops 2k7 - If they make this game region free, expect an indepth college franchise in the forums....but the game likely won't be region free, so I can only dream....Anticipation Rating: XXXXX

If any of the above games stink, I'll promptly return & swap them....I doubt I'll be buying all of these titles due to $$$'s, but will wait on reviews & so on....

to the other 360 owners, feel free to post your thoughts on games you've got, had, considering getting to help each other out or on my list to criticise it

EDIT: After reading some initial reviews of Madden 07, I'm going to hold off buying until I find out more about the game....I wanted a deep owner's mode & it sounds like it's not even as deep as current gen version....a few bugs are also there....so at the moment, I'm not getting the game....that might change though....ahh well, I probably just expected more out of a Madden title....

Well I got COD2 and NBA2k6 as well, plus World Cup 2006. COD2 and 2k6 are awesome, both really enjoyable games, World Cup is ok but not as captivating and exciting as the other 2.

Games I'm looking forward to:
NBA Live 07: normally I would by this on release day for PC, but I'm going to wait and read reviews before I pick it up for the 360. In saying that, it does look damn good in comparison o previous years.

NBA 2k7: If it is anything like 2k6 with a few upgrades then it's gonna be purchased.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Looks really sweet in the previews. Never really been a fan of these kind of games but might give this one a go.

Tom Clancy Las Vegas: Not the exact title but set in Vegas. Saw a preview and looks phenominal. Get to hunt down terrorists, sounds like fun!

Saints Row: Up in the air on this one. Might rent it ut first to see what I think.

Call of Duty 3: Can't wait!!!!

FIFA 07 or PEV2007: Whatever is better out of these two football franchises.

Just Cause: It's a massive GTA like game based in a fictional South American city. Basicly your mission is to cause a revolutionary struggle. You can drive all the vehicles such as planes, helicopters etc. plus if you are in flight you can parachute out in midair. Sounds very interesting and looks pretty sweet.

Viva Pinata: Well what can I say. My girlfriend thinks it is cute. Whatver floats her boat

yep, sounds good....I'll probably also pick up the next Tony Hawk, as always need at least one Tony Hawk on the system, provided it gets a good review....still contemplating Madden....will read more reviews etc....I just want to get another game....

Yeah Tony Hawk Project 8 is another game I will probably get on release. Looks real sweet and the gameplay is meant to be a good improvement. Tony Hawk is just one of those games you need on a console, where you can play for hours on end. Good times ahead. (Y)

I posted this in another thread, but that's more or less dead, so I thought I might re-ask it here....it has to do with broadband & xbox live in Australia....

at the moment I don't have either because I'm only on dial up at the moment....was looking at getting broadband so I can use xbox live but I'm not sure, due to the cost factor....at the moment I pay $18 per month dial up, unlimited hours, downloads etc....

anyway, I've heard you need unlimited downloads for xbox live as one online game can mean you're taking on like 500MB....is this true?!? Telstra was trying to get me to sign up on a 2 year plan, $33 per month for first 12 months, then $65 per month for next 12 months....I'd pay $33-35 per month, but I don't like prospect of $65 per month just so I can play an online game & download the occasional demo....

what are the rest of you xbox liver's doing with your connections?!?

cheers in advance....

I've been wondering, does XBox 360 recognize storage devices like USB Flash drives or maybe even stuff stored on a PSP?

The X wrote:hey Jae, I'm gonna turn the topic back to Pro Evolution Soccer....does PES have a solid dynasty/career mode? like in all sports games, I like to start up dynasties with underachieving or crap teams & build them up....it is possible for me to use Cowdenbeath (my dad was born there) from the Scottish 2nd or 3rd division and build them up, or will it just be 1st division teams?!? or is this all in the Master League?!?

The master league in Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (I have Winning Eleven 10, which is the same thing) works like this:
You start with either the Master League Default team, (a bunch of Konami made players that suck ass big time) a user created team (where you can draft anyone, but be prepared to make up for the salaries later) or an existing team.
Regardless of what choice you make, you start in division 2 (which usually doesn't consist of actual division 2 teams, but other teams in the real world) with 5000 points (which is very very little money btw). If you win or tie, you earn money, and if you lose you get nothing. However, if aren't able to pay all the players' salaries in the end of the season you get a gameover.

Yes the franchise mode in this game is very basic, but the gameplay sure makes up for it!
Bored.

I got a question about a product associated with xbox,

Its called Datel XChange 360
Basically it allows you to plug your memory cards into a a slot on a cord which plugs into your usb on the computer, from here you can download save games, roster updates etc and transfer them to the 360.

All i want to know is... Is it reliable? how much does it cost? and is it available in AUS?

I'm going to go scope around on Wednesday, if not then ill consider buying it online.

Some of its Features:

* Connect your Xbox 360 memory unit to any PC
* Transfer gamesaves, downloads, user data and more
* Share cool gamesaves, themes and gamer pics with other gamers worldwide
* Use your PC as a giant memory unit and never run out of memory again
* Easy to use just plug your memory unit into the docking port and then connect to any USB enabled PC

either that or get an XSATA which goes underneath your Hard Drive. It has a USB plug in the back that goes into your computer and allows you to back up your entire harddrive in case it crashes/dies/burns ect.
Opinions are my own.

I picked up Gears of War & Call of Duty 3 in last week, so my game collection (incl. NBA2k7, Saints Row & Lego Star Wars) is set for a long time, my wallet can rest easy....

but as the uncle of the NLSC, I will provide a good find to Aussies who want a 360 at an affordable price....check the link below:

http://www.techwholesalesupply.com/index.html

I take no responsibility in how it goes with this site, as I've never used it myself....I just thought I'd be nice & pass on the link to some others....$310 Aussie dollars for premium 360 pack, sounds too good to be true, but maybe worth a look....good luck....
