Discussion about NBA Live 2004.

I realy can't find any evidence that Jabbar has a contract with any game company, his contract with Acclaim has expired long ago.
That's what I could be thinking of. I stand corrected.
I do know however that there is a provision in the NBA-PA for active players, so companies like EA no longer have to get individual permissions. I was thinking that some sort of similar retired players group was what opened up the idea that classic teams could be made in the first place.
I don't think there's a group that represents retired players, at least when it comes to using their image in video games.

Championship teams do not satisfy me..
Runner up teams dont satisfy me either...
I want full 28+ team historical leagues featuring even the weakest teams.
Couldn't EA just make those historical leagues with fake/random/generic players? Then patchers (I would certainly be one of them) can edit those players in gradually...
Or maybe they can just add functionality to patch in new rookies each year....

I'd prefer EA to enhance and perfect the current NBA mode before adding a historical league mode. But that would be pretty cool.

Yea I know .. It would all be meaningless without proper gameplay and properly built franchise mode..
Just hoping that it will be heard by an EA employee who visits this forum and he thinks this is cool too

I'm sure that the production team find some of our suggestion appealing, but they're restricted by legal issues, time constraints, etc.
