yeah i agree teams like Blazers are deep but that doesn't neccecerily mean they have the chemistry and they for god's sakes they couldn't get past the first rd..and lots of major additons like the T-Wolves,Lakers doesn't neccerily mean a guarenteed spot at the finals...oh yeah forgot to mention the injured player over 80 should be hard too trade espically they're old...

Number one thing they need to fix(imho), is in game injuries. And yes, I like the long term injuries.

Just as an example, your main point guard goes down for three months, your back-up sucks beans. Do you trade for another starter, sign a free agent that barely gets the job done, or just swallow your pride and plan for the next season.

Then there's the issue of re-occuring injuries, do you need two starting quality players?, or just one all-star and another guy that is just good enough to start occasionaly?.

Agreed. Exactly why injuries need to be more common (but not too common). In time we can master the gameplay and AI, but obstacles such as injuries to key players provide new challenges and situations.

Also, lets say u simulate a whole season in one time(cuz u think u have a good team and dont feel like trading)and not game per game, u get notification of trade offers and stuff, but wouldnt it be nice if also get notification of injuries of players, ONLY ON UR TEAM, so u could make trades or rethink ur team, if u want to know about other teams injuries well u should not simulate a whole season in one time cuz if they would have all the injuries from every player shown the simulation screen would get too crowded(or how do i have to say this),and if injuries dont occur too much i just think this would be a handy feature

has ne 1 played nba inside drive. they have in game injuries. say u get intentionaly fouled u fall hard. u should be injured right. so u fella rolls around on the ground holding his ankel for instance. he goes to the bench and he gets it iced and strapped comes back to the game cause hes and important part of the team but has a bit of a limp. i think its a great idea and should be implenmented into the game. also maybe for sparained ankles they could have the ankle srapped at the beginning of the game and be fine but after running on it 4 a while it starts hurtin again. wat u think??? also wat about the dream team. maybe have some sort of international games. i know its nba live but it think it would be fun to play as australa and try and beat america.

It would be helpful if you could cancel or pause simulation to make roster moves or view statistics.

This should be a standard simulation option... There should be a button which pressed would stop the simulation after the game currently simulated.

This is again a flaw in the system that should be fixed.

I like the fact that you somehow see when a player gets injured or who's on a hot or cold streak like in NHL series. It is a good and informative way of telling things. Either do a popup like the trade proposals or do it like in NHL 2003 which was very good.

Streaks would be great. Like injuries, they need to be included for a better and more realistic experience. No team is without injuries or on top of the game every game of the season.

How were streaks represented in NHL 2003?

The streaks and injuries in NHL 2002 were implemented by a pop-up screen that would come up after a game if there was a change in the player state as in Player A's hot streak comes to an end or Player B will be out day-to-day with the flu or player C has fully recovered from the Sprained Knee or Player D is on a cold streak. With these kinds of messages...

In NHL 2003 the messages are pretty much the same, but on the main user interface screen of the multi-season mode you see a list of the top scorers in the league and a table with the standings in your conference (you could change that).

Then you would also see last game results on a tab-bar (you know the one with changeable views, sort of like bookmarks you know) in which would be showing the last game result and it has choices for your team and the upcoming opponent team too. In these team related screens you could see teams record (last 10 games too), 5 best scorers, streaks, injuries, star selections (they select the three stars after each game in hockey), but on your teams listing on the top there would be a space for trade offers that showed the tradeable players and a button for going to the trade screen where you could agree or disagree on the trade and then the player status change box which would read all the changes in player status as described above. I wanted to describe it entirely cause I really liked it, although it doesn't work properly with my GeForce 4 and AMD XP processor (it even said it wouldn't work properly in the manual)...

I liked the user interface of NHL 2003 like a million times more then Live 2003's user interface.

And about streak implementation: In game the streaks are shown by the players name. If the name is written in red he's hot and if it's in blue he's on a cold streak. NHL hot and cold streaks add or substract 10 to all the stats of a player so it's really a big difference, way too big for NBA. Or maybe not... Don't know, haven't had a chance to try it. Maybe 5 added or substracted would be enough in basket ball. Also the day-to-day condition allowed you to dress a player but he has an increased chance of reinjury and plays like he's on a cold streak. This is pretty much how it is done in the NHL series for some time now.

Seems like a good system. As you said, it wouldn't work exactly the same with a basketball game, but a variation of the idea would be great in NBA Live.
